ESC TUNNEL RUN VI - 24th October
Well done to Chris & the tunnel run team on what seems to have been the best run yet
Sounds like Essex Air ambulance is going to be a major beneficiary
Very well done to all involved

What a headache I've got - you noisy lot
Thanks to everyone for coming along. It still amazes me to see so many people come along particularly with the distance you travel.
Without you attending it would be pointless. THANK YOU

Donations were all greatly received, even the guitar plectrum will come in handy
Even more importantly thanyou to all the regional organisers, specifically Budgie, the MSOC organiser, for helping shepherd everyone along the A2

Wazo, what can I say? You need a long sleeved shirt or you'll die your death of a cold
B4D HK did a brilliant job of rounding up the Birmingham crew a(nd setting up their own club). It won't be long before we get 200 cars circulating the Bull Ring I'm sure
BUT.......BUT none of this would have been possible without my fellow Tunnel Run Committee members.
Bri4n for major help and assistance, specifically liasing with the start point
ScoobyMaz (and Charlotte) for speaking to McDonalds, Dartford Crossing AND the incredibly helpful charity collections at the gate. Brilliant job
Wozzaa - what a star. Designer of the stickers and shirts. Stood in the cold all night selling merchandise - you haven't heard the last from him everyone
Thanks also to MrShades who designed the promo photo and a sticker design. Much MUCH appreciated

Also thanks to Nate for helping out with the TomTom files and setting up a facebook group when I couldn't cope with my PM's
Finally, thanks for the 2 people who showed true ESC spirit. Kin Quick and Pinseeker. Neither were on the committee but both willingly agreed to help out with the charity bucket

Oh and MNeame who dragged people kicking and screaming to the merchandise stand, and when they wouldn't he went to them with armfulls of shirts and stickers

Thanks..

Yours too!! Can you PM me the vid?? Never heard it from the outside yet!! I've still got disco ears
Thanks to all involved for Saturday night, what an experience, one i wont forget in a hurry. It was great to see so many scoobies and models i havent seen before. I will make sure i keep my weekends free in October next year. Highlight for me was the Rotherhithe Tunnel, how much fun was that

Somehow we managed to travel back on the A13 on our own and went through Dartford Tunnel on our own but it was still great fun.
Thanks everyone

Did anyone see the young lad who worked at the tolls the first time we headed over the bridge?
He was standing outside a toll booth watching when about 7 scoobs launched at the same time, never seen anyone put their fingers in their ear as fast as that. Looked like he'd shat himself

From: DIESEL POWERED BORAT! SLAMMED, R32 WHEELS, MAPPED, DE-CAT, TINTS. LOVE IT!

Perhaps plead stupidity, tell them you came to London to visit the Gherkin and like a 'wally' got confused by their choice of pickled garnish
just a repeat of mneame's question,
Any idea of the total raised for The Essex Air Ambulance ??
I've done a search but cannot find anything to show the
amounts raised and when handed over to them
I would have thought that each years would be annouced
on here
GeorgeM
