Full camo vinyl body wrap
Less than 400bhp (for now)
I made this mount...

then removed my old camcorder and used one of these to hold the iphone...

It works a treat

Unfortunately my splitter detached at 130mph at Snett and was ever so slightly run over by a few cars, So…
Time to make another one
Pics…
8x4ft of aluminium composite loveliness

A quick test fit…

How big!!!...

Applied some heat reflective tape and cut a service hatch...

No need to remove the splitter when carrying out an oil & filter change...

The finished article...

It still needs tidying up a bit, But will do for now

Had another great day out at the Snetterton 300 circuit yesterday (apart from the ******* annoying Caterham drivers
, Who thankfully were kicked off circuit later in the day
)
The new splitter worked wonders with the added down force, and entry speeds into esses through corum and riches were much improved upon + after absolutely ages I’ve finally found the perfect settings for the BC coilovers
A quick vid & pics (from Fezza
) of us tooling around on track…
(Also some brilliant photo’s from BRI4N, I owe you a few laps

Maybe I shouldn't have stayed out for 30+ minutes
As nice (but very unlikely) as that would be, I really need to concentrate on making some proper ducting to cool the front brakes. The new 300 circuit is an absolute killer and I seem to have somewhat cooked the calipers. They used to be a lovely gold colour but now have turned brown

Spooky! Good find.
I don't think I could have tried any harder!
That said, It was was worth ruining the Brembo's just to rinse out a few race Caterfields on the 300
Damn, I hate those guys
And even after all that abuse the PF pads were still in perfect nick, Something I can't say for a mate who was using the new bluestuff!
PF FTW

Got bored with my black road wheels, So popped down to Halfords this morning; Got some rattle cans of white and sprayed them (in my hallway
)...
After a quick wet & dry...

First coat of paint...

Painted and lacqured...

Left the inside black as it'll be easier to keep clean (i think)...

On the car...

Cheers mate
I'm sure i've gained at least 10bhp by spraying them white
It certainly was an awesome day out (apart from the fooking Caterfields). Your car looked great out there
You back there soon?

then yeah I'd like another go at Snetts over the summer. New infield track is spectacular, added so much to an already awesome track. Loved Montreal and Oggies, only wish it was in my back garden !!!
EBC Bluestuff NDX pads...
It’s fair to say that I’m a big fan of the Performance Friction Z brake pads and apart from their shocking bite from cold I’ve never had too much to complain about as they’ve never ever let me down on track.
So when I was offered to test the EBC Bluestuff NDX pads I jumped at the chance. Tbh after reading some of the reviews on here (and making my own comments) and also talking to a few people using them on a recent track day I wasn’t expecting them to set my world on fire.
So…
I removed my slightly worn PFz pads and had a quick go at removing the deposits left by them on my DBA4000 discs.

I tried using many different grades of sandpaper and that had no effect so then tried a sandpaper flapper wheel and that was next to useless, So had to resort to approx 10+ sanding discs before I managed to get the bloody deposits off!

It seems that a few people have complained about judder when fitting the NDX pads and tbh if they’re fitted to a disc that has any sort of previous pad deposit on it, I can see why this would happen. Also my guess is that fitting a new pad onto a disk with a lot of old pad deposit on it would reduce the braking performance as the new pad wouldn’t grip 100% of the disc? (I’m probably wrong here, Just my theory).
I’ve had the NDX on for a week now (using Sti Brembo’s) and have to say that for general driving and very very hard fast road abuse these pads are head and shoulders above the PFz pads that I’ve used for the last 3 years! The cold bite is absolutely outstanding and when up to temp the stopping power is just savage, and despite back to back to back xxxmph to 0mph stops I haven’t been able to get them to fade one bit.
If I had to be picky and make a criticism it would be that they’re slightly more noisy and dusty that the PFz’s but as they perform so so much better then I couldn’t really give a rats *** about the noise or dust. Also the pad has slightly smeared on the discs (no worse that the PF’s) but the latest blend should take care of that.
I haven’t used these on track yet and for all I know they could fall apart after one lap, But I doubt that very very much. I’ll post up a review when I give them a workout at Snett 300.

The pads are the same as in Ian's thread but i'm using Sti Brembo's/DBA discs not the WRX 4 pots.
Had a fantastic day out at the Richard Burns memorial at Marham last Saturday. Bigpower organised an autotest to raise a few quid for the fund and a great day was had by all

A great day was had by all today at Snett 300
Plenty of scoobs in attendance and all having a ball on track
A quick vid of myself prentending i'm fast (i'm not), but the end result was never in question
The car ran perfectly through the day due to outstanding Dynamix mapping! No det, no dramas, no problems, just worry free fun
. Love it
