Depends on the build Shaun. I understand where you are coming from but if it's built right in the first place starting will never be an issue

You took me too literally mate.

Mine starts first time, but I dare suggest that it would not do 200k miles without much incident.... a porsche 911 turbo could. That was what I was really trying to get at.

right its been a while a long while since i've updated this thread, so i think its about time i let you see what i've been up to.

annd its not much! the block is built up and all parts apart from my fuel rails are waiting to be fitted. i've purchased myself a after market steering wheel and boss. apart from that im struggling to get things together.

i cant find any side feed fuel rails that are in my price range so im having a go and moding my standard ones.

im attempting to weld on a -6 fitting to the ends of the standard fuel rail. im hoping to end up with some thing like this.

standard fuel rails in the vice now cutting the ends to create the area to weld the AN-6 fixing

this is what they look like so far. i am yet to tidy up the welds etc this will be my next job

i im also trying to clean my inlet manifold but struggling to get it clean any tips? i was going to use gunk? good idea or bad

Haven't done much as I have been collecting parts, moving, and preparing for my son to be born.
I got the engine complete and back in the hole. sorted fuel lines etc. Everything was complete then I noticed the coolant was leaking from the water pump. So that is in the process of being replaced.

ok lads need a bit of advice. im thinking of doing some body work to my car as my rear arches have seen better days.

now i have aways'd fancied the HT Autos 4door 22b kit however, ABW's arch extension are calling. the only problem i can see with the arch extensions is i think i will have to change my front bumper? and possibly facelift it?

opinions are very welcome so don't be shy.

thanks T
