Interest pending, id be happy to do another run on these. 8-10 minimum buyers and id look into the cost of running another. However we have lost our powder coaters and doubt we would be able to offer them at the prev GB price, theres also a VAT change to take into consideration but i think we could still offer them at a price that beats importing them from the states.

I dont think we had any negative feedback from the prev group buy and believe everyone was happy with the finished product. If you can generate interest, i look at costing for these but not until then.

Thanks
Jon

Nearly fitted mine today and whilst all was well with the build quality, here's some things I found that affect the newage fitment...

Once fitted you lose the height adjuster on your seatbelts.

The top and bottom bolts on a newage are too short. I fitted some spares from my harnesses on the top, but they don't have the machined washer incorporated so the top piece clamps up and doesn't spin freely. I haven't done the bottom yet as Subaru use fine pitch M12 bolts so I have had to order some, all my spares are normal thread pitch. It was worse on mine because I was using the lower mount for my harnesses as well as keeping the normal seatbelts for daily use.

The other thing I did was change the supplied M8 bolts that go in the top rose-joint for some M12 ones. They just fitted better and looked more professional.

I will get some pics once it is in properly

Don't know about the classics, but everything on the newage was M12, with a fine pitch thread (1.25mm pitch). I would expect the classic to be the same and imperial threads be more for old fords and vauxhalls - but don't quote me as I am not 100% sure

Jon, the bolts didnt fit on my classic either, this was due to the thickness of the plate we used on our bars, however some classics had longer bolts so fitted fine. This was our first go at these, and Iv also since changed the bolts we used to M10 which are much better, and as you say look more professional and will be a lot better.

I realise that this thread is now pretty old but are these still available?
I've just had the stoppers put on my roll cage plans (not me - the missus) after investing a lot of money on seats and harnesses.

Wongy when we do your flaps I'll check your buckles are threaded through correctly as they need doubling back from what I can see

All in the thread mate fit 1993 to 2006

At the moment got a few to clear, theyve been stored and are a tad marked up on the finish so theyre cheap @ 120 + post iv got candy purple, candy blue, black and white..all have black vertical bars and brackets.

Can do them anytime after these have gone, any colour although the candy paint is more expensive.

PM's welcome with any interest guys have pics of the bars iv got, or could do another group buy of any amount up to 12 bars just start a thread get peoples names in etc and we will go from there.
