If anyone else has any pictures i would be interested to see how you have fitted it. I am particularly interested in how peple have arranged the bottom of the support stay with the seat belt.

I would like to pass on my thanks to Wrighty for all his hard work in running this group buy as well.

Anyone fancy sorting out a group buy on some harnesses???
Not the greatest of pics but might help ?

I did a pretty neat job even if I do say so myself

Bars are still great

thanks 53wrx. your wagon is different from my type r as in the type r the seat belts do not get covered by the plastic trim but are visible all the way down to the fixing point at the bottom (same place as your last picture shows.

this means i have an extra fixing to cater for which is where i dont think i have things the right way round.

the wagon also appears slightly wider at the top than the type r - it will be easier to compare once i can get some decent pictures at the weekend

Ah right glad you got it ok. Perhaps one of the other fellas can help you out regarding bolts? when we trial fitted ours we didnt need longer bolts at the bottom..in my car however im going to need longer bolts up top. so not sure? Your local hardware fastner shop should do all types of fixings.

As I pm'd to Jon

When installing I removed one bottom spacer and the tension washer, top bolt/bracket fitted fine. The bottom nut was probably on a tension washer as the nut was hidden behind carpet and could not be periodically checked. Now the nut is exposed I see no problem in routinely checking torque.

Rob the white one, and subsequent bars, were based on a US bar IIRC which was New Age fitment.

Hi rob, the white one iv taken payment for from dilbob. not sure on universal...we would have to do more testing! the one we based our design on was from a 2006 hawker, which fitted my classic fine. So in theory they fit from 1992-2006 - i arnt sure if anyones put one in a bug/blob/hawker yet?

Il pm you now.

If there was enough interest yes, if there was another we would do things a little different this time though. A group buy isnt an easy thing to organize il be honest with you. the price offered was based on 10 people buying so would need 10 again.

Perhaps do another into the new year?

omp bolt in cage was short by about an inch either end so just longer tubes would solve that if you did more in the future

the bar needs to sit at that angle for safety, if you have it level with your shoulds its not going to hold you in place in the event of an accident. thats why they are ALL like this.
