As a Dundee United fan for the past twenty years I can only commiserate with all you York City fans.
Macnamara was the most inept manager in our history.
He left us well adrift at the bottom of the SPL after selling our better players and replacing them with utter dross.
The mistake our chairman made was giving the management a percentage of any transfer money, so financially it suited Macnamara to sell.
I see he also took Donnelly with him as assistant manager.
True story:
Macnamara held a clear the air meeting with the players back in October.
Players were asked where they thought things were going wrong. Someone asks why do they train all week with two upfront and wingers whereas on a Saturday we play one upfront alone.
Macnamara replies " It's my fu**cking team and we'll play whatever fu**king way I want"
With that imbecile in charge relegation is an almost certainty.

Apparently York City donated all the food from the Northampton game corporate hospitality to good causes around the area after the game was called off, that's a great touch from them as they must be struggling themselves.
Hope everyone in that area who needs help gets all the help they can.
