I found I needed to have the rear setup a little softer to prevent jarring when going over bumps.

You'll find if you wind them up to max soft the car literally bounces down the road, which isn't at all pleasant IMHO!

Hey Bren,

I know a bit off topic but i have already bought two sets of these for my Scoobys off you and like them so much i would now like a set for my daily driver....its a 2004 Nissan Almera 2.2 DCI the 136 bhp N16 shape. Can you get them for this model? I have dropped it on H&R springs but its way to crashy.

Cheers
Jimmy

Cool, are there adjustable spring rates available like the Scooby ones?
Is £699 with standard top mounts (Not that care much as is for a daily driver)?
Whats the lead time from ordering as would presume a special order?

Thank you
Jimmy

The kit comes with camber adjustable pillowball front top mounts and aluminium rubber centre rears.

The default spring rate is 6/4kg.mm. This gives a very good quality of ride. However I can look at ordering the kit with a more supple rate if you like, its not a problem. I cant see any issue dropping to 5/4 and can ask if they can build a 4/3kg.mm kit for you with matching damping rates and additional damper travel.

We place an express air order every Tuesday and expect delivery the following Monday.

No additional charges for the custom build nor the express delivery

The default 6/5kg.mm kit gives a similar ride to the stock STI on the softer damper settings but can be stiffened up should you wish to do so.

We have them in stock, call 01274 683633 to order

No problem. We are a Tein dealer, let me know if you want me to quote

You are aware of the specifications of the cheapest Tein kit (retail at £744)? Its the basic kit so you have to reuse your original top mounts (no front camber adjustment), isnt damping adjustable and has limited ride height adjustment and lowering the car reduces overall suspension travel as the kit doesnt have adjustable bottom mounts so height adjustment has to be done via the lower spring platform.

Model range:

http://www.tein.co.uk/price/make/subaru.html

Tein Basic GC8 details:

http://www.tein.co.uk/installation_m...GC8_92-00.html

Tein Basic GC8 installation manual:

http://www.tein.co.uk/installation_m...inst/qcs12.pdf

The comparitive Tein product is the Tein Flex at £1320 You could get the 2 way damping adjustable race winning ER Series for less than that

Hi Bren,
Hope the Group Buy is still going on, i'm after the BR Series for a Classic GC8 6/5. Do these come with front and rear adjustable pillowball top mounts as standard kit? If you could PM me with the kit details and final price i'd be gratefull.

Cheers,

Michael.

The BC Racing GB finished some time ago. We had a special offer on Apex branded units but thats just for remaining stock which sadly no longer includes GC8 kits.

They come with front camber adjustable as standard, rubber rear. £699 and in stock. You can upgrade the front to camber and castor adjustable for an extra £60 and the rears to camber adjustable for an additional £62. Price is to upgrade a pair of mounts. We have the upgrade mounts also in stock.

Did you set the pre-load before putting them on the car ?

First thing to do is check that everything is tightened up properly and that the pre-load is set correctly as the top nuts can sometimes work loose.

If everything is tight and you are stll having problems, give us a call on 01274 683633 and we'll go through some other things with you.

If it's 05+, then we have them in stock with the 6/5 springs.

This is Ann by the way, I forgot to log Bren out.

Hello

I'm after the c spanners to adjust the BC racing coilovers on my 03 sti. I was wondering if you could advise what I require as I'm away with work at the minute so obviously can't check? And can you supply these items?

Many thanks

Kev
