Arent pulleys weighted for a reason??? Especially the crank pulley

 

There is no problems with lightweight pulleys for subaru , they will free up rotating mass, giving a better throttle response, Some cars need the hamonic dampers like Honda's .
we have been doing these for years without any issues at all

Update guys , we are starting these next Wednesday , so that will be the final date , won't be taking no more group buy orders from then

 

But a lightened Crank pulley will cause alot of stress on the oil pump and bearing which will shorten your engines life. For road use, and longevity then id say it would be best to keep the rev limit as stock. ??


Im tempted myself, But unsure... Will ask my tuner tomorrow

 

These do not affect the subaru boxer engines,

ScoobTypeR, there was an extensive thread on the american forum (which I can't find now), but after a lot of discussion, and a few people getting confirmation from Subaru USA, the crank pulley is just a pulley and that's it, no harmonic damping or anything like that.

Chris - what's the lead-time on this new batch? Looks well timed as my engine will be being rebuilt in 1-2 weeks...

Thanks; timescale a bit tight then. Quite easy to mount up with engine in situ though? (what about keeping old pulley still whilst trying to remove retaining bolt that hasn't moved in 10 years?)
