I fess up - after trawling the memory banks I realised I have had a total of five user names on Snet - a couple were trying new names and on Snet we were not allowed to change our display name!

This is where I get embarrassed when webby emails me with a list of five more

Just curious, but how can the admin team possibly tell whether its one person with multiple user ID's, or multipe users on one computer.

Simple even for most users on some occasions; Old IDs that have not been used for two years being "magically" being resurrected on a thread about aliases doesn't need IP addresses to work out its a regular user.

you could search for my ID by IP address and quite possibly find half of scoobynet have the same ip

Why keep them when your no longer allowed to use them, if you do you use them you end up in the Trout/Rannoch/Spooky scenario (depending if your caught that is

)

Sonic - to be fair I registered Spooky and Rannoch to the same email address and was flagged. It was me that then brought Trout into it, and Brown Trout and SpecCled Trout, although the latter were more obvious as potentially linked to me!
