Apparently I have to choose!
Very simple - in the 90s I used to fish a lot for very big trout. And I caught was was regarded (although has since been dropped) as the largest Brown Trout in the UK at 28lbs 2oz at Dever Springs. It was a big ugly fish farm thing.
I also used to write about catching monster trout in Stillwater Trout magazine at places like Chalk Springs, Avington, etc.
So I adopted the Trout nickname.
It was either that or because I smelt like an old fish all the time!

was it this big? >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> >>>>>>>>

I remember my dad catching a 20lbs Salmon and it was hoooooooooge
Aparently I have to choose!

I think one name per virtual character is ample. It keeps the place tidy. There is no point in having more names. If you do, all them bleddy names get "Scooby shootout" type sales emails and clutter your mailbox
Moreover, what's the point of having too many IDs unless one of them is capable to stir some serious fan-hitting sh!te?
Otherwise, multiple identities are nothing but a waste of space and time.IMO Rannoch is better off as Rannoch. Spooky Mulder and Trout together with Rannoch at the same time makes no sense if they are no more or no less than Rannoch.
Good to to see old Rannoch back here knocking about
Innit funny how a user ID can prejudice you against a person? I REALLY couldn't take to Spooky Mulder, but I always liked Rannoch.
Something about that handle used to put me off. A bit like Swiss Tony - I can't get on with Swiss, but I might like him if he was posting under a pseudonym.

A new ID, if you don't know the 'real' ID of the person, is a new opportunity to form an opinion, which will colour how you feel about their future posts.
At least, it seems possible to me.
Without the analysisalysing (it's on trend today) though, yes, it's funny.
Shut up Em and drink yer cider.

From: It's like finding a cocktail sausage, when what you really wanted was a rather large saveloy.

Christ on a bike, I must wander through here with my head in the clouds half the time...or maybe its just full o'cotton wool

I say go with Trout if the fat lobster et al let you rename Rannoch
This kinda circumstance is understood, but having 3-4 names at once for exactly the same variety is unacceptable.
<Waits for Rannoch to go bananas (of the same variety)
>

*consults lawyer, that wasn't an admission of anything incriminating, was it?*
Trend setter, that's me

Interestingly, I have it on good authority that the unbanning that allowed my return was actually an administrative ****-up. Of course, nobody would admit that so once I reappeared it was passed off as a gracious second chance.

I thought you were on sabasticle

Did you resurrect yourself as someone else on SN for that banned period, TK? If not, you are a different kettle of cybercreature

Good to see you about. I can see some old names (like Rannoch
) popping up. Seeing you about makes me think of Fast Bloke as well. God knows where he is hiding
Its possible that he is in the middle of converting himself into a blood-sucking Dracula type alter ego
But then again, like you, he doesn't have to wear a mask to call spade a spade.
He did give birth to himself a few times, under different IDs for comic reasons

It sounds like things aren't any better here than when I returned after my ban. That's a shame because this was usually an entertaining place, even in the middle of a flame-fest.
I am sure having such a suspicious nature serves you well Leslie as that is a strongly held belief.
Of course if someone had multiple ids and was using them concurrently then there may be merit in your argument. I think you will find that personally if there was any concurrence it was either minimal or accidental.

I just did not see the point in more than one ID unless the person concerned had an ulterior motive. I have to say I did not know that you were Rannoch and Spooky in fact.
