Road Car 400+ bhp WHY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
No mention of power:weight's on this post, Do people tend to throw lots of money at the engine and keep everything standard inside the car?
400brake in somthing which is 1500kg Only works out around 266/ton which compared to my clio of 190/ton is kinda gutting. Im going off newage figs here as well... would be interesting to see some power:weight figs
Im a massive fan of weight loss, chassis setup and then slight engine mods

My car with me in it and fully trimmed leather interior (4 stone each seat as I weghed them
) boot with stuff in and my spare wheel was 1505kgs. My car has made 4 bhp more since it was last weighed but its not the same car and the ecu pulled the timing due to heat so I don't really know my new power level but its at 551bhp on a 30degree's hot day in Zens even hotter garage

Mine has "tunes", aircon, std seats, etc. As it's a road car.
If I had a "toy" it would be stripped out and thus hopeless as a means of transport.
I'm not chasing more power, just better low range torque, so forged 2.1 for me next.

It is more than looking at these things in isolation.
A quick Scooby? there's a road I use every day with a sharp uphill bend with a straight of around 200 yards just the other side. Here's the trick, drop back from the car in front, build up speed in the corner. As you straighten up, you have one solid second to check the road in front. Clear? 3rd gear, now flat out. 585 bhp. Upshift as you pass, then glance in the mirror to check the guy you just waxed. All over the road? lights flashing? Priceless!

My favourite at the moment is baiting SAAB diesel owners....
They seem to think they are the bogs dollocks ?
Apply sufficient BHP and smile at the results, priceless.
