Chef - really simple. Plug HDMI into PS3, same into receiver, HDMI into your plasma.

Watch.

All good.

My Denon was really easy to set up and most come with very clear instructions.

what about upscaling settings to 1080p on the ps3/av receiver for SD DVDs?
this linear pcm for HD audio thing?
my tv will play 24P, so do I have to set the PS3 for that?
my tv will have a THX picture mode (HDMI only) - if I calibrate the tv, how will this thx mode be affected?

Linear PCM will be. Automatically done via the ps3 , I scrapped my ps3 as I wanted my amp to show true HD lit up

As for upscaling it's all in the DVD settings in the ps3 menu. Also don't forget some films you have to select true HD or dts HD in the menu
