Gasket posted with Paypal £13.50 but you should have got a gasket with your GT Spec headers.
3 bolt flange special uppipe, slip jointed, five new Subaru studs and DEI wrapped is how they come. £149

Hi Harvey,

Would fitting a second hand STI up pipe to my 2004 WRX be the same as fitting as decat one and have they got the EGT boss in them? as I think mine will have? if so can you post a picture and price of the one that would be best for me.
I have standard headers and td04 turbo.

Thanks, Danog.

The WRX needs an uppipe with a boss if you are to retain the heat sensor. The STi uppipe does not have a boss. You can have a purpose designed uppipe, new for your vehicle which will be a performance item. £139. Either of the last two above for £50 or £40 will fit your car and they have a boss but although they are aftermarket items and decat I do not consider they would give you anything like the performance gain of the new item which is after all purpose designed for your application.

Top item is O/E without heat shield.
Next is aftermarket with boss.
Next, as above wrapped.
WRX with CAT.
Not sure what item to right is without looking at it.

Third one down you can have posted next day inclusive of Paypal for £62.50 to harveysmith1@btopenworld.com and I will send it with replacement new studs for the missing/damaged.
The difference between that one and a new performance item is that the new item is slip jointed with new DEI wrap and new studs and the new uppipe is a specific performance designed item. The second hand item above will not be to the same design and although I have not measured it, the internal bore diameters will be different.

harvey, I'll be fitting a 20g to my forged 2.0L ODB running WRX v.1 hydraulic heads.

Do you know the diameter of an uppipe's bore that would be most suited to that set-up. I need to get a set of your OEM ported headers for sure... but, regards the u/p, I actually already have a slipjointed upipe here (which may, or may not, be suitable, IYSWIM). Thanks.

O/E uppipe ported and DEi heat wrapped is £35.
O/E uppipe with O/E heatshields in VGC is £35.
The gains from porting the O/E uppipe on its own are not great.
Ported headers and matched performance uppipe to suit your turbo/spec is £369 exchange and ported headers only is £230 exchange.
Joz. You were buying a turbo last time we communicated????
You have my e-mail address. Please send a photo of your uppipe and relevant dimensions along with spec and I can advise.

Yes, I have to confess harvey, that Scott T had a UK-rebuilt fully recon'd/ported 20g up for sale on eBay (and here). I was the lucky winner - got it for £356 all in.

I do feel bad, as this is the 2nd time! I've done this to you: do you remember I wanted a Hybrid GTSpec FMIC... but, again, soon after, a second-hand Hyperflow popped up on eBay, which I also won? I hope I'm forgiven? However, if I find the 20g too laggy, it'll defo be coming off for an 18g anyway... just that the money-saving 'opportunity' was too good to pass up at the time.

Okay, I'll take some photos and post on here soon...

Thanks a lot.

Hi Harvey, how much for a decatted and 2002 wrx uppipe, heat wrapped. Looking to upgrade the turbo to a hybrid td-04 or a vf35 maybe, just wondered if the required uppipe could sustain either a hybrid td-04 or a vf35? PM me your thoughts and recommended parts/prices.
Many thanks
Matt.

Joz : That uppipe will do the job. A purpose designed uppipe for use with my ported headers which comes DEI heat wrapped, slip jointed and with five new studs would set you back £139. In conjunction with my ported headers, my uppipe would be the best performance option but I cannot specify the gains in torque or BHP.

New, decat uppipe for your car Matt will show good gains. £139. £10 overnight delivery or we fit here for a fixed £75.

OK thanks very much harvey - just gotta get it heat-wrapped.

How much are your OEM wrapped and ported headers again (for a OEM 2-bolt uppipe pattern)?

Thanks.

Harvey, if I were to exchange TWO! sets of OEM headers (one set is mildly ported at the entrances/exit) - plus one OEM 2-bolt uppipe - could you do a better price than £239?

- Okay. I think I'll sell the extra 'ported' set of headers on...

- Presumably, there's an up-front surcharge (to be reimbursed when you receive my exisiting OEM headers) to add to that £239? Please advise, etc...
