Micheal Jackson Hysteria ....
I agree generally with SSuP's original post. He was a remarkable talent and he was acquitted of the homosexual accusations. Paying off that boy's family does not look good of course, maybe he just wanted them to stop the bother-who can say?
It is predictable that there will be such a fuss and so many programmes about him and his life in music. His fans will want to see all those programmes and I find it very easy to select a different channel if I want to watch the box. I really can't be bothered to get wound up about it in fact. I actually can't blame those who put the programmes on for such an enormous number of fans and those who were so appreciative of his star quality in music who want to see them.

Anyway, this is my thread about MJ and the hysteria surrounding his death, not the ramblings of someone devoted to an Internet Character, as you seem to be ..... granted, equally sad, but not what we are discussing here.
So, back on track ....... MJ ........
I think everyone can see who is the puppeteer here

It's fun watching your desperate attempts to try and rile people. All I need to do is dare write a few words and you start the same volley of fairly un-imaginative remarks which are meant to somehow offend. It's the internet!! lol

Back to the op. You'd have to be fairly silly not to realise that people have done this sort of idolising of celebs (I know, I know, SSU may like to now compare himself to one in a BBS form, nope, just a deluded poster of tripe) for as long as people have been about.
For many, many people, Michael Jackson (note, correct spelling of Michael) has been an almost ever present musical artist or news item and is one of the most famous people on the planet.
A sudden loss of someone like this can prompt alsorts of emotional responses from those who knew of him, not just fans, as your post proves. You felt the need to voice an opinion in an emotive manner, about how he is now being splashed about the media and further, about what you thought of him. Why bother?
Some loved him, some hated him, some just liked the musci and feel almost dirty doing so, because of MJ's possible unlawful interraction with kids.,
some just don't care.
That's the way it is, they way it always will be.
If people feel that they require a public outpouring of emotion for someone like this, to support or bolster whatever emotional needs they may have, so what? Change channel and watch one of the programmes on the BBC, that you so love paying the license fee for
The rest is fairly boring semantics...

Still - you could take some of your own advice....
if you don't like it don't watch it!!!

Farrah Fawcett arrives at the pearly gates and Saint Peter Grants her one wish, so she thinks for a minute and says "I wish all the children in the world to be safe".
The next day Micheal Jackson dies from heart attack.
