it has gone quiet as darren has gone on holiday with his family somewhere nice n hot for two weeks so i wouldnt expect any updates here for a fortnight or so

hello mate i spoke to you via txt on the 26/07/09 this was the car that i have fallen in love with.

i have 3 questions.

1. can you get this look on a 4door?

2. will i be able to fit wider wheels and tyres, and what size can i go upto

3. how long will it take to do to it? - only im having my car rebuilt and would like to have it all done and back on the road by september.

o the project looks great sofar, cant wait to see more updates soon

 

You realy shouldn't post pics like that mate - us older chaps sometimes find it difficult to control ourselves and I now have to go and look for a change of underwear because I got too excited to quickly

I'll start another thread for these arches in the next week or so but to answer your questions mate
1. yes , you'd need a split rear arch though ( to open the door lol)
2. yes , you tell me what you want to fit first
3. I'm busy till the end of sept but I'll be running this alongside the other classic kit and a very special newage one . I'll be getting some arches in this week and it really depends how much alteration I'll have to do to get them to fit .

 

Anyone have any idea about the offset required to fill these flared arches based on a 18x9.5 wheel, must clear my AP 6 pots also.

 

Ok I've got some arches coming to fabricate to fit a scooby as above , I'll start a new thread when I get underway , now will you leave this thread alone

 

back on this now for a few days , I've been doing the other side so nothing new to report . I've got to work out how to do the fuel filler yet . I've started the front splitter which is similar to the one we make already for the classics just a little more extreme to flow into the wings .

With all this new curvy-angular body work, why stick with the prefacelift headlamps, grill and bonnet? Why not facelift the car?
