I would imagine that the 'regular losers' must be laughing their socks off to see what a pale imitation of itself this site has become. It's as popular these days as say a council tax dodger from some nomark town in scotland.....

 

I believe the people you are referring too are reading SN daily, and sitting on their hands.

Sometimes their hands are too strong and they cant help but post under a brand new user name.

Others just post and moan how **** it is, yet still post none the less.

 

I'd have thought it more likely they pop back in to see if anything interesting still goes on here once in a blue moon and found this subject the most lively thing going on.

Comes to something when a thread about the decline of a website is one it's most popular.

As someone might have said in the past 'schadenfreude rules'

 

My watch threads are going from strength to strength, admittedly I have to BTTT them a few times to get some mileage.

The gay thread is going good too, seeing as though it was started a p1sstake it has been taken up quite well, even Matteeboy has not been crucified which is unusual.

Ive even seen a hint of banter between Bubba and COB, but strange goings on have been happening just of late that my be down to mod gremlins.

We even had a visit from Chaos.

 

I think there is a mod amnesty on at the moment don't seem to see any of them around and certainly not posting anything useful ;-)

Now that I fully agree with. Even though Terence and I have crossed paths in the past, whether it be in the old hutch or elsewhere (spelling and grammar not withstanding ), I have always respected his posting styles even though I disagreed with content sometimes. Which makes this latest outburst a bit out of character.

It's nice the odd watch thread has people posting on it. I'm rather fond of quality timepieces myself, don't you know? Shame there aren't many people left on here who know very much about them however.......

Compare this state of affairs to the mad, bad old days of wild west scoobynet where there were dozens of threads vying for the top spot and it was hard to keep up with. Anyone objective would admit what we have here is a poor facsimile.

Face facts- when you get rid of your most erudite, witty and controversial contributors the site's bound to suffer. Particularly when their replacements seem to be the type of people who like to share details of the utter banality of their lives.....

Let's not even talk about the drop in standard of moderation.... ok let's. When you have people like NS04, one of the most witless boring contributors to the board over a number of years running the show then you have a problem. These sort of people stultify debate and bring everything down to their intellectual level (I'm using the word intellectual advisedly in relation to these people). What you end up with is homogenised, lowest common denominator pap which pleases nobody.

This place should be renamed 'Stellanet'

nice to see NACRO is still hanging around, thats one thing I have never understood, I can post pretty much whatever I want and nobody bats an eyelid, NACRO plays nice and gets banned in 30 seconds, banning those with an opinion results in the current slight dullness we are seeing.
