spoke to him about that actually. on the day he will be able to professionally edit/make the dvd on a hard copy(with all the trimmings). then it would be a case of just burning copies off for whoever had paid for one. obviously this may take a day or 2 but there would be nothing to stop a few of us sorting that out to speed up the process. alo he suggested getting a couple of tuners/exhaust suppliers on board as sponsorship to help with cost and he could advertise their products within the dvd, so if that was to come off we would pay even less (potentially nothing depending on sponsors willingness to play ball). dont suppose we have anyone with sales/marketing skills on here do we?

 

have to be careful incase we commit and people dont turn up and having to pay if you know what i mean. im sure most think its a good idea though including me

 

good idea but i see a problem, what happens if people commit to buy then decide that their car is not on the video enough, you can only do so many cars through the tunnel each way.
myself personally i would'nt be interested i'd rather go on a run every month instead.

 

points noted. had anticipated this being the case though. the photography guy suggested speaking to the tunnel police and seeing if he could film from inside the tunnel so the cars would pass him, i explained that i think the police would probably turn us down and also be out waiting for us then as well (bstrds). the sponsorship route is probably a good idea but you need the right sort of person to have the neck to flat out ask a big company to hand over their cash and its in their intrests to do so. so it looks like its plan B then. Warrensti from SMACS has shown an intrest, he is a professional photographer only though. he is 50/50 on the run itself and would bring his gear but i think he would take photos to order, rather than snap away and post on scoobynet, but he is very good at what he does.

I think it all depends on what everyone wants. a lot of people are happy just to see their cars on youtube and enjoying the thrill of driving with a large group of scoobys. I still think someone on the roundabout would be good for a youtube film, but if its a quality film of the whole run, we need someone who knows what they are doing.

phoned total impreza today and was told to send an email. tbh i spoke to the videographer guy pretty much at the same time i was intending sending the email, got sidetracked basically and forgot to send it. i need a secretary. my missus has just seen this and called me "a cheeky ****". will sort it tomorrow
