It would be good if we could get their IP address and find out who this is.

I've deleted the unfounded claims by this alledged "noob". If its found to be a regular user, they will be banned and infracted for it.

I'd say "**** it, I'm out of here!" if my boss was sitting on a throne!

What temps you seeing Peter? Was seeing 110oC (peak) on mine last Friday on the track but was pushing the car hard (well hard for a novice ). I'm happy my cores bid enough but just need to fit it somewhere a little better as its not getting the air where its at.

TBH...i forgot,i think it was over 110oC but will need to check with my Defi gauge.
My cooler could do with getting moved to a better location but space is hard to come by!

Ditch the thermostat IMO. Hate them on cars like yours. Better ducting to and from the cooler can make a huge difference.

Thanks for that Steven. Why do it out the thermostat?

But I will get Colin to pull the thermostat out anyways and get ducting made up when the car goes back to Meercat to get some fab work done.

Its a easy solution for me, I just need a few more holes/vents in my bumper to let the air flow through. Trouble is you haven't got much bumper left to cut out with your 5ft x 5ft intercooler .

We can compare 'measurements' at Elvington if you want .

I'm running 235/40/18's T1-R's at the mo with no clearence issues (cars dropped on AST coilovers as well). My T1-R's are about scrubbed off so have a simular dilema, was thinking of going to 245/40 (R888's) but wanted to speak to a few people first. If you get any answers let me know as it could save me from making a expensive mistake.

mines running rota g force 18-8.5in rims with 235-40-18 r888's.the rear arches could prob do with a little rolling as i get a little scrubbing when cornering hard, but they make a real differance on track.

Arf, do the R888's seem to have a thicker wall than T1-R's?

yes they do. i have run the T1-R's and thought they were good tyres, then i tried the vredesteins and they were slightly better but when i switched to the r888's the difference was like night and day, they stuck like glue on track.the only bad thing about the 888's is they are quite noisy on the road but with the sound of the exhaust that is soon overlooked.

Same as Arf, 18 x 8.5 Rota Force ET48 (got them from Revolutions at Newcastle). I love the look of the wider rims which give much deaper dish but I don't know how this effects road holding.

I love the look of the 9x18 but i not sure if they will fit with proper tyres rather than the stretch tyres look!

We have run 235's on 9 inch rims in time attack, and the tyres didnt look stretched. We now run 255's.
