To be honest, look at list 1b for MSA approved tyres- they are the ones that will give you a competitive advantage
I thought the Michelins were revelational- im using the Toyos at the moment, as running production class.

To be fair mate these tyres are fine for normal road use... they certainly are not the best, but unless you are pushing, they are adequate imo. They seem to last well and whilst the dry weather performance is slightly lacking, I really like them in the wet.
For track stuff I use 888's, but once the current set are mullered I will be looking at trying a different tyre and going up a size on the width.

Well finally got her home after more hold ups.
The sump had more leaks, the quick rack blew out the high pressure fitting, the original bosch lift pump in tank fuel tank packed in on the way home!
So Colin Greer had to come out on the road side to change it over. Thanks Colin.
After that it was all good ....done 200miles last night and an oil change this morning!
Here she is back on my drive.

Just going to give her a clean now.
What else can i say...engine and turbo is so far very responsive.Suspension is firm but now back breaking.Steers very well with the current set up.Power steering pump is working great to gives great feel and feedback.
Happy days.

Is that why your engines spend more time "off" than "on" the road!
What's the eta on yours now mate?
Pete,
Looks very nice and I hope you enjoy using it. The full "shopping car" look is the way forward mate!

Pete,
Is that plate legal?
I used to run an illegal plate and I got pulled by Traffic Cops (about 18 months back) on an ANPR sting. I was unaware at the time that this carrys a Fixed Penalty and three points. I just thought it was a producer.
Luckily I managed to get away with it as I had a legal plate on the back seat and tore the illegal one off and put the "real" one back on. I swore to the copper I would never do it again. Hasten to add I never have!
Whilst a fine is bad enough..... I aint taking three points up the backside for that!
Beware if it is illegal.

I've been there in that respect Steve. Best of luck in getting it back on the road, and you back behind the wheel.
