No. I don't mind warm but dislike very hot days more than very wet days.

If it rains and rains it really doesn't bother me. I work in an office which helps but I used to be mobile repairing pressure washers and although it wasn't much fun when it rained it wasn't an issue.

My brother lives in Gibraltar and August there is oppressive. Stuck on a big rock in mid to high 30s. Can't think of anything worse. I'd go for the money but not the weather.

2003 2004 2005 were hotter than parts of the med at the time - and pretty hideous imo , i dont really take a summer holiday and have to work thro it, i guess iv sympathy with young families.
Trouble is the people have been lured into the belief that our country is becoming warmer , even over a couple of decades - which it plainly isnt just a bit more unpredicatable.

I bought an air condioned car on the basis of those summers actuallly - and naturally iv not needed it since .

This is a pretty much average summer

ok admitted, its a little windier

Unfortunately Cornwall , Yoza and others bear the bront of the jet stream whipping up those medium lows off of the atlantic . Mattees no doubt tough enuff to cope and Les will be hiding indoors

They say that they get a 50% success rate with their predictions, so maybe they will get it right for August.

The Met office at Exeter have just spent seven million pounds on a new super computer to predict the weather more accurately! I've got a feeling it's no better than the last one, could've saved a few bob.

So, basically, they have a 50/50 chance of being correct? Love it. And, AND..............they get paid for it!

I'm using a new prediction method. It's called a 10p peice. Heads it's sun and tails it's rain.

I'll just give it a quick toss and let you know.

Trouble is, the weather is entropic. It does just what it feels like even if it is the opposite to the impression it was giving beforehand.

The met men can give the predicted weather from all the information fed into the clever computers but the real outcome can change just like that!

We are getting to the point where its looking like a fairly quiet winter ahead. The last 2 years have both had very strong ENSO cycles, be it +ve (09) and -ve (10). As such, if we see the current trend carry on, we will probably have a "normal" uk winter, no major snow events etc. Famous last words!!!!!
