The boost solenoid is attached under the shiny metal item on the manifold itself.

Looking to upgrade the brakes on the front this month to try and eliminate this judder every 3-5000 miles. No tracking, just road and very rarely fast. Had looked at the K-Sport packages from Scoobyworld, any good or do you recommend something else?

I had the K-Sport 330mm. (Still got it it; it's knocking around somewhere in the flat lol).

Whilst a reasonable improvement over the OEM 4 pots, they ain't a patch on a 'proper' AP CP5570 330mm kit (which I upgraded to).

Ferodo DS2500 pads were used in both kits.

However, I think AP have a new, improved kit out... Check out RCM website. (That said, it might be 356mm only...)

I think Ksport are a cheap upgrade, but not in the same same league as having the option of having Brembo.

As above.. Save a bit more money and Either get AP's or the Alcon ProR set up.
Or if you can get a set of 6pot Cosworth brakes...winner.

I like them. They are the 'everyman' - the CBR600 if you will lol - of performance pads, IMO. (The fact that RCM offer them in their big brake kits as the default option, speaks volumes).

I know there are pads out there with ultimate better stopping power, etc., but for everyday/fast road use, they're excellent. The main reason I always use them is that they genuinely work properly from cold. Just fit and forget, basically.

Use insert image, the one that looks like a post card and then the "direct" link from Photobucket.

Default Inner wing induction kit

Got my Perrin CAI fitted but the engine bay looks seriously empty there now. Looks a bit rubbish in that area now , any ideas on how to make it look better ? Heat shield or anything ?

Thanks lads. Not much to be honest. Degrease the manifold and a bit of vinyl/rubber care on the pipes etc. The main thing is the intercooler. Took it out and painted it silver and added the STI after straightening the fins. Really tidies it up. Have done 3 now (my last 2 cars and a mates)

I've done mine a couple of times and as happy as I am with the results theirs still those bits you can't get too. I might take out the intercooler aswell then and use some rubber cleaner
