08/09 Hatches, Stand up and show yourselves!!!
Since you've swapped the engine you can't really say that its one of the remaining 200 odd ?
I'm genuinely asking , not having a go
I've got a WRX-S and as far as I know everything is original, tried to look for similar information(or any information for that matter),on production and certs on the prodrive kit, didn't find much. Noticed a couple for sale over the past couple of months on ebay. Let us know if you find anything .

Agreed, but from the outside it all looks standard :-)

After the 2.5 was out, i bought it with a bugeye ej20 STi engine fitted (now a blobeye STi as cyl3 lost compression on the bugeye one!)
TGV delete, Twin AVCS, VF48 Turbo, de cat, Harvey Smith up pipe, parallel fuel rails, fpr,
I originally thought it was being ran on a Syvecs ECU, but it's actually on Simtek one

It's a bit of a frankensteins monster tbh.

Iv been told you can't use the twin avcs heads from a 2.5 on a ej20 as the compression would be all wrong , not trying to pick any faults or anything just curious as iv discussed this with many people including some of the well respected pros in the Subaru engine game and I got the same answer , but makes sense that you have a simtek as you can run what you want then really so possibly got the ej20 heads on there ?
I do know it picks it's feet up really quickly from just over 2000rpm :-)))
Next time I'm up there I will delve a little deeper, if I'm honest I wouldn't know the difference as not looked too much into it. I bought it off a club sponsor I have known for years so an element of trust involved.

There is no replacement for displacement

The STI only possible on an aftermarket ecu as you'd have to ignore the exhaust avcs but you are correct bolting 2.5 head to a 2.0 short motor wont work at all.
The wrx runs single AVCS so dropping a complete long engine in would work with the aftermarket ecu for the triggers.

Parade lap, but none of it was timed as it was a scored based day , based on driving lines not speed ,, front splitter is a v-style one
What have people been paying for the lowering Spring kits as I'm just trying to decide if I should go for a spring kit or a set of Tein coilovers , car doesn't get used that much these days so thinking of the coilovers if the price isn't to far apart from the spring kit , but if the springs are cost effective may just go with them

I recently fitted Prodrive springs (from Gambit on here) and found them a bit crashy. Though i haven't has a real chance to test them and the only time i did , the road was a crappy surface TBH.
I think coilovers would open up more options for handling , height and wheel options. But a simple lowering from springs would be my personal choice. There was a set of H&R on Gumtree recently, would bring the price to around £100. Or are you talking big brand springs ?

Had AST and BC on mine before settling on (nicer for the road) STI dampers.
BC's are for sale though. I found they were a lot nicer with nice new tyres, my old Vreddy's had gone a bit hard it seems.
I'm looking at a set of tein street coilovers for mine..had a set of springs on my old ep but I like the thought of being able to adjust the coils to wha you feel comfortable with to be honest
What do you want inc delivery?
Has anyone fitted "splash guards" rather than rally flaps ?
I have RallyArmour flaps fitted at the min but i feel the rears are a bit big. I found a cheap set of splash guards but they've no brackets so I'd like to see any pics before trying to make brackets etc.
