Rheid, if your just after the hardware, would the flaps be available? I want to change mine to red and this would save me some hassle

No issues with that Simon. I will need the flaps for a couple of days though just to make templates etc. but after that they'll be available.

All assuming Rob and Rigged work something out first of course.

Hi guys any ideas?
My wing mirrors are the push button to fold close/open electric type.
However, one now works and one doesnt!! Just keeps making a clicking/ running motor type noise constantly when car is on!!!
Movement of changing mirror positions still work but cannot fold in passenger side.
Thanks

Had the exact same issue with mine. Dealer fitted replacement whilst under warranty.

Anyone had to replace front wheel bearings yet? If so, any guidance on cost? Cheers!

Wheel bearings aren't a changeable part, they're integral to the hub. So unfortunately you need to buy a complete hub if the bearings go. IIRC they're around £325 each inc VAT, plus fitting.

I'm sure Rob will be along later with an accurate price.

Are you sure the bearings have gone? I'm sure I remember several 100 pages back (or on the hatch forum) that someone thought their bearings were shot and it turned out to be something else entirely, I know stock rubber on certain road services thrws out some weird steering feel and noise which in the past people have linked to bearings!

Not 100% yet. It's being looked at on Friday. Was just getting myself mentally prepared for cost if it was. No weird feel, just noise. Kind of a clunky, grating noise from front passenger side at mid to low speed. Doesn't happen all the time though. Comes and goes, just seems worse lately.

My hatch had terrible noise from the wheels, dealer changed the bearings ( don't think it was the whole hub, just a bolt on wheel bearing cartridge ?? ) that did not fix the problem.

It was found to be the noise from the OEM 18" tyres .. Dunlop 600's or something like that.

Noise went with some Goodyear F1's !

Deffo not the tyres as I don't have the OEMs fitted. The noise is very much an irregular metallic clunky sound. Almost grinding on occasion. Like I said, will find out on Friday. Hopefully nothing serious!

£275.44 +vat from Subaru for the oem part.

Myself and Neil were just looking at these the other night Incidentally.
Personally whilst the OEM part from japanparts is £80 + air freight. I myself would have bought the Group N rally version as its a bit better lubrication in the bearing and thats still only £103 + air freight.

Just ordered some parts direct from Japanparts and they are currently in coventry waiting to be processed through customs

Mental the cost from a dealer over here compared to the part from Japan. Rob, could you provide link to the Group N part please?
