Rob

how much could you do an oil filter and air filter for my STI?

was thinking of getting the parts myself and getting local dealer to fit, they're charging £95 for the labour.

he said i might need a fuel filter?????? is that right?

I was also thinking that if the air filter neds replacing then maybe going for the Pro-r (warrantied one)

I'm currently off work at the moment until sat morning, But I'll sort pricing for you then.

Fuel filter I doubt that somehow, as it's an internal part fitted in the fuel tank on the base of the fuel pump & means quite a bit of work to change it. I think we were told its an item that's lifetime fitment or if the owner wishes 60,000 miles.

Never noticed before, but i guess the old fuel filter on the suspension turret in the engine bay is now gone then? Changed these on my classic/s but come to think of it never noticed on the hawkeye either... LOL.

the last of the fuel filter on the turret was the blobeye, they then changed to the 2.5 engine from the hawkeye onwards but the hawkeye did have 2 filters, The teabag on the base of the fuel pump and the small cylinder above it was also some type of filtration unit.

They then changed to the hatch which is actually a legacy in disguise and decided it only needs the one filter due to the antisurge canister that it is mounted in so only has the teabag filter on it.

For future reference the Teabag filter is around £29 and comes with a full o-ring kit

I agree the new facelift does look good.
I think the only car you could go to after an S204 is the R205

Hi mate
No the previous owner nodded the car unto around 380bhp,I'm returning it to standard tune and concentrating on handling mods rather then the power side of things, the wife also use's the car and it was a bit over zealous last winter in the snow for her, main reason we have a 4wd sports car as we get really bad winters up here in't hills!

I will give you a shout matey once the exhaust is off the car " first refusal if you like"

Regards Marcus

P.s sorry about the spelling,bloody I-pad lol

Was it remapped? You may need it un-remapping! The mapper could just put back on the std map, or re-map to take account of the std parts?

Hi mate
The supplying dealer is giving me a replacement ecu and codeing it to my car, thus enabling standard management back on the car,Got it booked in on Wednesday to have the work done, also thinking of removing the front fog light kit as I quite like the fog cover look with a zunsport lower grill in black

You'll be fine then.

Not a fan of the fog lights, and I too have black Zunsport lower grill!
Very sleek on a dark grey car.

For those of you without the keyless etry system, keep an eye on your keys. The rubber casing of mine that I use every day is now separating from the plastic case inside.

As I'm at work, and the spares at home, I don't know if this does come off, whether the entire key will fall apart.

Default Which pipe...

If it's the one that bolts onto the turbo with the big cat then it's the downpipe you are after.

If it's the 2nd cat pipe ( the one replaced by the PPP then I may have the one off my 2008 STi that got PPP'd ) if it's any use?

Apparently 330S with 15k miles are only going for around £21k ... ( ) and STi's with 20k miles 2 - 3 years old for £17k ish ..
Best to trawl Snet, PistonHEads, auto trader for a feel of what is being asked and what is being achieved.

Usual question - what you after next!!!
Evo, GT-R, M3, or sensible normal car?
