i hear what you guys are saying, im booked in with JGM on 10th so will see how that goes....should be on cloud 9 after that and will defo be looking forward to monkeyball run (when would that be?)

Jon the airlock thing happens ocasionallyy after a VERY hard run, but any problems with motors give you a headache as you want to sort it out soon.

ive also noticed a slight clunk (not major) when turning left at very low speed. common problem?
someone told me its normal - its the diff, and another told me it could be a split or unclipped cv boot, but ill have a look under it tomrw morning.

ps: does nobody apart from mikee like that silvia?

I know what you mean. I had a rear CV boot done last week, and the wheel was covered in grease again when I got up to Lincoln last night. Hopefully it is just where any excess wasn't cleaned off as I'm up here with no tools etc. Although I've donated a t-shirt to the cause and cleaned it all up. There seems to be no damage that would cause any leaks, but I'll check it properly on Saturday when I get home

If the CV boot has come undone, the joint could be knocking, worth getting it checked if thats the case. About a £50 for a new boot in Hughberrys, not sure how much for the joint

Nothing can compare to the sheer acceleration and handling of decent superbike.

The wife keep's on worrying about me having a midlife crisis, I've told her she'll know because I'll buy a bike again, or do something really mental

I used to have a race tuned 125 gamma, girl in the next workshop raced them for the RAF and gave me all of her cast off bits, 40-45bhp and weighed in at about 200kilos. Stuck the 250 gamma rear wheel on and a set of battleaxes and had a year and a half of fun, but came close to meeting my maker once too often so gave up the bikes in return for a longer life

Ducati's do sound nice, they're like the subarus of the bike world when it comes to a nice unique sound, and if I ever bought another bike it would have to be a duke

I wonder, what age is good for a mid-life crisis

.....about your age Jon.....

True about the sound... I think I've 'done' Jap bikes.... I'm sorely tempted by a Duke next... although I am looking at Buells and BMW Boxers too.....

Given that I am going to live forever, late 30's is still quite young, so midlife is a while away yet (he says listening to the Led Zeppelin rendition of Stairway to Heaven - non ot this Rolf Harris Sh!t3)

That is soooooo nice. I was torn between one of these (750) and my ZX10 for aaaages. In the end I went with the Kwak as it was cheaper and came with more toys.....
As a bonus the Kwak just looked uglier and meaner too

Alex, I've emailled the guy and asked if he had put the prices up because my mate got them for £53 all in, to which he replied no, but he had done one buyer in the UK a special price and he would also do that for me

Cheers for the heads up
