WHICH TURBO
Either a 6 speed (2/2.5k for everything needed) or a PPG 5 speed (2.5/3k for everything) with a decent uprated clutch (£450/£1k+)

if you dont have deep pockets then i would suggest selling your current gearbox minumum 500 add a grand on top of that get yourself a 6 speed gearbox with the left over money buy yourself a second hand 18G,20G or hs380.
there really isnt a massive diffrence interms of 20G,md321h or hs380 or hs420.
or another thing you can do is get your heads mildly ported, buy a second hand 20G get a remap and your still have enough money left in your pocket. the md has a good reputtion but so has the 20G and the hs 380 or hs 420.

Cheers for the input. The UK Turbo Wagon i had with the 2.5/Tdo5 18G and remap to 369/352 used the standard box and i really gave that car some stick, mainly because it was such a useable point to point car and the gearbox never gave me any trouble whatsoever. Anyway ive seen a Td05 20g for sale by a guy fairly local to me and its never been on the car, he wants £400, so bargain. Can you tell if its a good one or a crappa, as ive seen a lot of v-cheap yank/chinese crap for sale
