I do not think they will ever be purchased. They will spend more time in the filling stations than on the road.

IMHO I think traffic police are *****. Not for who they are but what they do and how they go about it. constantly screwing the public, little hitlers playing power games. Worst than traffic wardens (Maybe) I know its a stereotype, but most (Not All) seem to fit perfectly.

The police should be concentrating on real criminal issues, by not doing so and spending the publics money on crap. They are no better than the dishonest poeple they are supposed to be protecting us from.

This car is not going to stop people speeding or stealing unless its in the right place at the right time and what are the chances of that! I agree with skipjack, the cost/benefit of these cars Scooby or Evo should be looked into.

Oh, If they steal my car, I dont want it back. I hope they burn to death in it, and their **** parents suffer.

I think I heard a police officer on the radio saying "We would like to make speeding as socially unexceptable as drink driving"

It does not effect me that much anyway, because I will continue to speed with as much care and attention as possible But

Pause for dramatic effect

All this politically correct rubbish makes me sick. Why dont we all lay down in coffins, form a slow orderly line, drink orange juice and dye!

Pause for breath

Stuart, turbo timers would mean leaving an engine running whilst not in the car, and, as I understand it, that would be *illegal*

Jesus.... I thought this started out as an interesting picture of an Evo in police drag? You'd think owning a Scooby you could release some of that pent up aggression people ...

Looks like plod are getting another bashing over the law.

IMHO
They do not actual make the laws, (they do have some say for obvious reasons), they enforce them as instructed by the government - don't like the way things are going the have a word with your local concellor or just wait 'till they come around canvasing for your vote - we (well some of us!) put the law makers in a position of power, they are there to serve us!
You want it changed then tell them they are wrong or vote for someone who has your best interests at heart.

i'll get my coat....

If someone steals my car, the last thing I want is a couple of licenced boy-racers with warrant cards chasing the thieves, endangering the public by adding to the Polac statistics, and then tying up yet another officer who has to report the incident!

Nobody says you HAVE to put your foot down when you get a tailgater. That's not defensive driving, it's every bit as foolish as the moron who is tailgating you. It's not going to hurt your image or your pride to pull over a little and let the spanker pass, probably to shunt the rear of some other car futher up the road. The road is a smart place to behave in a defensive fashion, not offensive.

OOH excuse me!
If you look at my original post I didn't say I did that, it has never happened to me, BUT I have seen someone done in that way! See that little 'winking smilie' on my original post, that means I was JOKING! FYI, contrary to what you are implying, I don't drive around like a tw@t.

If the thieving little sh*ts were actually givin a decent sentence then there might not be the need, but no it's far easier to give them driving lessons and make the likes of stuart and companies job even harder

I'm not sure if making a police Evo VI is a good idea, someone will probably try to pinch it and turn up on a track day with a big smile on their face.
