tbh it wasnt a ***** waving figure casing process, you said you werent fussed about figures, I just genuinely used the dyno to set the car up.. it made what it made, it then got sorted for the road where it lives.

Exactly mate, i wasnt and am not fussed on the figures at all. I was staggered that it did the numbers it did to be honest.

Its a handful on the road, and thats plenty ta very much. Does beg the question of how far it could have been pushed should we have been silly enough to do so?

it loves boost.. where would you stop.. it felt good and I had no hessitation exploring up to the 2.1bar we tried.. but more.. hummm....

would be interesting to see what racefuel would do.. but might just get to mbt and only make a little bit more.. I think it was close to mbt on 20% meth

That close to MBT on a 2.5 is good enough for me mate. Dont think the studs and gaskets would have enjoyed much more than 2.1 bar anyway lol

A great read this Frayz and an absolutely astonishing car you've built along the way, it has inspired me for a far more low-key project of my own in the new year.
That is money/kids/other half permitting.

I've not used scoobynet for a while and stumbled across the project section about 2 weeks ago. Yours and emb's threads are the stuff legends are made of.

-On a side note do you or jolly green monster have any idea what caused the dip/drop
in curve between 4500 and 5500 rev's on the 573 run? Is it something that you'll likely look at in the future?

Yes it's because the torque was limited in the midrange to help longevity of the motor. The torque was capped and the boost profile slowly increases in the later half of the rpm range. We could have made big torque but in all honesty, as a road car 510ftlbs is plenty.

watched top gear last night with a brabus merc, they had limited the torque down to 800lbs and it was still too much, the traction control just couldn't cope! Bet yours is very nice and responsive with 510 frayz!

Yeah it hooks up well and feels very good. Especially since I had the geometry done last night.

Lol more than plenty!...
Looking at the graph you gain about 200hp in less than 500 rev's!!!!
One question....

Hows your neck?

Just finished reading both threads over a matter of weeks

Your drive and enthusiasm has to be applauded as much for the work on the car as it has for the content you've put on SN in relation to it.

Fantastic achievement, makes me wish I was 20 years younger without the wife kids and mortgage

Lol. Cheers mate. Had the car 7 years now and it's certainly come a way.
I don't think there's much mistaking it very much MY car dispite it's relatively understated appearance.

I am sure I am being over precautious.

Its like when someone reveals the location of a vehicle.

Ah holy crap, another 39 pages to read, but I'm hooked so I've got to read it!! And may I say Frayz, you must have way to much money, firstly owning a cossie at 21 must have been a killer on insurance and then to modify a scoob to the level you have must have cost a fortune! Big respect to you fella!!

Frayz said it more than once over the years but that is one mighty fine car you have got there and its now got the engine to match. Congrats on all the hard work that has been put in by all parties envolved on this build from back to the day you got it. Please don't sell it, you will kick yourself I agree everything has a price but where would you go from this? Not had an impreza for over a year now and have tried a few other cars but still drawn back to getting another. Again top work but you mention there needs a final map so what do you think it will end up running
