No worries Daz,
I took a template of a phase 1 Classic this week and will get a pattern made next week. I'll also need to get a good look and some trials on the later Classics to be sure.
As soon as these are done i'll let you all know. There seems to be quite a bit of interest in them.
Suberman, theyre awesome. But theyre only recoverd Recaro Pole Positions and GRP too. Theyre about £350 each new as a Recaro. And intergalactic money as STI items. I cant afford or justify them.
They do look the shizzle though

I'm such a STI wh*re.
I'm not too familiar with aftermarket seats. Are the Prodrive sparcos that much cheaper?

Well guys, the Recaro is off to a new home soon. I hope its new owner loves it the way i do. I collected a pair of Prodrive Sparcos today. Theyre in very nice condition, the Passenger is stock Pro WRC in GRP weighing in at 7.9kg, the drivers one is a Pro WRC Carbon weighing 6.5kg.
I know i'll miss the Recaro like mad but i think these will look awesome in the Prodrive edition whip

Just to keep you posted guys.
I now have a polycarbonate patern for a classic fitment wingsert. This will need to be trial fitted before the first proto is pulled out.
Most of the messing about was done on the "Newage" wingsert so this should be much less fuss to get right. So hopefully this fits up good and then i can get the first proto done.

Lol, will do soon Kev. I'm in Cardiff at the mo. Picked up my adapted PAS lines this week. So they can be put in along with my own wingsert when I get home.
Then I can drop my motor in. Really wanna get it back in now.

Finally found some time today to actually fit my own wingsert.
All cut areas paited with some black smoothrite. Then the wingsert was bonded in with black adhesive and OEM fixing points. I added 2 lower fixings too using some black plastic trim clips. Its fits nice and looks OEM.
Much nicer than the picture shows to be honest, but its hard to get an idea in these low light conditions.

Some new OMP subframes arrived today for the new seats too so i may have a play with these tomorrow.
