Looked at doing that but there isn't any room below the cowling and I would start to lose the screen and it's adjustment.
I know I'm taking a serious punt here but it's cost me nothing but a bit of time. If I'm not happy, ill do something else.

All my parts were dropped at the flockers tonight and will be back witin 4 weeks.
We shall see what happens then. I'm not worried about it as I'm feeling pretty optimistic

Looking good Frayz...maybe I should offer Gatso-yellow as a Toucan colour option

FYI I was chatting to an owner of an Evo rally car today who's going for a Toucan and he, too, wanted an external push button to allow you to step through the gauge pages etc. Two people suggesting it in two days...serendipity, and will defo get done

Great minds eh Tim?

If I could get it on the steering wheel that would be pretty special.

Yep, Gatso yellow it is

Your wheel has various holes, so just a case of finding a switch that fits, and a curly lead so it doesn't get tangled up

My wheel snaps off so would be even better if I could make a contact that has a pickup for the switch.

All new prototype Intake ducts are well underway. Still got a way to go to get the angles just right but it's getting there. They're much much bigger than the previous intakes and should feed the oil cooler and wing box far more efficiently.

Should look pretty aggressive too.

Sorry for the rubbish photos, it was getting dark.

Something that's been bugging me a while is that the Syvecs calibration switch comes with a numbered sticker.
This sticker eventually starts to peel, or if like me you want to move the rotary switch, you need another sticker.
Today I made up a small brushed stainless plaque and laser etched the numbers on.
I didn't bother writing a program for it, or punching out the disc as it would bend. I just done it by hand but I think it's come out pretty damn well.

Even etched Syvecs on the bottom...

Not at all Tim. I love the pretty machined switch that mine has but the sticker is crap. This is just my way of not having to buy another switch.

Hi Adrian,

I've already had a heap of requests to make more of the mate.
However I made this one by hand and it was a fair bit of fannying about to get the numbers spaced right. So they're not the 5 min job that they look. Would be a piece of **** if I could get them water cut. Stamping them only bends the material.
If I make more I'll let you know and put one with your name on it.

I'd need to get them water cut to make them cheap enough Iain. I cut this one by hand today and then indexed it to etch it.
Really they need water cutting and a program writing for the laser in order to make the quantity I'd need to make em cheap lol

Operation Slim-Fast is underway.
Lost the light tonight so stopped there. Already lost a decent crate full of stuff.

All quiet here what with house and wedding planning.

However the car is 75% ready to go in for some treatment and work on the prototype fog covers continues. These are just mock ups for now and don't represent their finish once completed.

I was just suggesting if you were going to get the inners done in Carbon Fibre (not sure how) similar to some of the CF air ducts I have seen.
