Hunter alignment machine, Frayz?
Not scanning the print out from my last alignment on one, it was a bit pissed beforehand.

Lol, Peter, I've over 570 if I want it but never bother.
On my local roads, the 525 is plenty, unusable in any more than one whole gear, if I feel the need for more I just add meth and twist the dial. Lol.

Rather wintery down here in Essexville today.
Came home to find The Bomber looking rather chilly with her cover off as she's due a wash. Too cool not to take some snaps.
Check out the blue pearl in the black paint as she sports the Bombsicles

Thanks for sharing your experience, in all it's detail, precision and emotional exhaustion to everybody here. I'm considering an all-weather project to accompany my Honda S2000 and this has given me motivation and showcased what an impreza can be like with time, patience, discipline and persistence.
I look forward to seeing what you do next - as I'm sure most of SN will be. I'm based near Braintree in Essex so I may see you on my travels.
Bottom line - don't sell it, savour it and keep it. You'd only ever look back with regret if you sold it after this much effort went into it.
Great project, great car, great read.

Cheers for the kind words mate. Much appreciated.
My custom Essex Subaru Owners Club shirt arrived today.
Had my car graphic put on the back, came out pretty good. Ive also got 6 litres of Motul 300V competition sitting downstairs ready for her 3k mile oil change. Think ill do that tomorrow

Something I've been meaning to do for a while but not got around to it.
Made up a little polycarbonate under vent shield for when the weathers bad. Initially the polycarbonate one was to be used as a template for either aluminium or carbon. But since fitted I think this looks quite cool.
Spaced from the vent so still allows heat to escape while protecting the motor from the bulk of rainwater when stationary. The depression created above the vent keeps water out on the move.
Held in with some nice alloy M5 button heads to keep the look neat.

Covered about 4k miles on this filter now so decided to try out the K&N filter recharge kit.
Kit comes with a cleaning/degreaser and fresh filter oil.
I didn't realise how dirty it had become. I'll let the pics do the talking.
Job worth doing I think you'll agree

Am I right in reading in the past some folk run with a type of "sock" over the filter which you can simply remove and put in the washer? I seem to think this was specifically for extreme bad wet weather, or dusty climates, yet it posed no threat to the air intake flow??
Just curious
Rob
Ps. Top work Frayz as usual

Not under a bonnet so exposed to all thr elements (and bugs) while driving along. When he had it serviced and Christmas it came
Back with a black sock thingy over it, he was told it won't affect performance at all. Plus it's K&N branded, so a similar thing may be available for us.
