I would suggest that contrary to whats been posted before, that you do not seal the slip joints.
Also, I would suggest that the slip joint is vital to be allowed to move so that when the metal gets hot and expands that it does not crack.
Also, when the metal expands when hot they will not leak

Hi Ed

Obviously, as can be noted from the photo, these tubular headers are still unequal jobs -- I take it, therefore, the Scooby burble is still present and correct?! How 'much' of the note though, is lost/changed, etc.?

Also, what's the bore of the up-pipe, please?

hi guys

I got some headers from ebay (uk-performance-uk) and when the box came it said japspeed on it, and the headers are infact the japspeed ones. I guess i bought old stock because i am having the same problem, James at GRD fitted the manifold the best he could by bending the subframe lip back but i am left with 0.1mm gap and the manifold rubs and hits aginst the subframe when driving, a grinding noise. Whats the best solution?

Hi,

The subframes are slightly different on the new age, they sit closer to the manifold.
You will need to take a lip off the subframe to house the manifold properly.

Thanks,

Dan
