Sorry if question sounds dumb, my Uk2000 has a three fixed studs on top of down pipe for the turbo to sit on. Not seen in pick. Is it a different one in pick? Need to confirm before buying, cheers P

also interested in this piece of kit....i would be putting them onto a 2.5 sti...how much more difference is noticeable over the OEM ones...(apologies if this has been asked) but other tuners have said that the stock ones are good for 400bhp but i want to know how the drivability is improved....increased lower down torque? spool up? etc

i had to grind the subframe and move the engine mounts across to give enough clearance between headers and chassis rail.
where the two header pipes meet (slip joint) blows like mad!!
where the headers meet the uppipe there is half an inch gap differance!
totally gutted in these, taking them off to fit standard ones back on.
these are my opinions, will be ringing ed tomorrow about the matter!

i have the gt spec ones and the lip gets in the way,i bent the lip over and repainted instead of grinding it away have u re welded this bk up.
neilus rang me up 2nite as his are exactly the same he is waitin on a reply blowing at the slip joint

Hi guys sounds like this may have been a misshaped manifold as we have not had any problems with these before. As i explained to matt on the phone it sound like there maybe a problem so he is sending it back to be checked and replaced
As for saying they are cheap manifolds we have been selling these for about 5 years and the number of problems can be counted on one hand. It is likely this has been a problem when it was setup on the jig for welding and is a one off problem.

I am sorry but i brought the very same headers and the fit was so bad as per coments already made.
I went to the expense to have the header to up pipe flanges machined as they were concave causing blow. Once fitted there is a gap of at least 10mm between the header and up pipe flanges.
I also wasted £70 on heat wrap.
The customer support i got was terrible, i was told that " We dont have any problems with these,and as you have fitted them we cant change them"
I have the receipt still to prove when i brought them.
Neadless to say i have since brought another set,which are 2 piece but have a flexi in the up pipe which is far better idea.
On a positive note, My brother brought the japspeed one piece headers over 2 years ago and they have been perfect.

as i stated above even the more expensive gt spec headers you need to bend the lip up where all the pipes collect i believe the newage subframes is alot closer/tighter to the classic

the flexy thing cracked after 1.5k miles , and i've got only 300 bhp scoob.... I asked my question about the up pipe size as well because my one was huge , don't remember the size as it was a while ago, but the turbo spool was awfull, like v tech , at 4.8 rpm .... Sorry , but this is u get what u pay....

We buy these manifolds at 100 per batch and have been buying these for many years now.
We havent had problems with these before and after speaking to our manufacturers they do reccomend using a heat resistant silicone based sealant when fitting to seal the slip joints. When the manifolds are fitted they need to be offered up straight to make sure they sit true onto the engine.
As with any of our products if any one ever has problems with them you can send it back for a full refund. We can assure you these are good strong manifolds and do fit fine it just seems to have been a couple of problems come at once.
