I had a simular problem Scooby Wagon, with my rear fog light. As the HID kit uses its own loom to cross feed to the drivers side headlight you do away with the standard wiring from the nearside headlight. The problem is the fog light (rear anyways) takes a signal from the drivers side headlight so that it only comes on when the headlight is on and as this is now disconnected you need to take that signal from the left side. Problem solved.

Hi mate and thanks for the reply, tried wiring the kit from the other headlamp, still the same, which ever lamp it's wired from if you put an H4 bulb in the redundant headlight wiring the driving lamps work, seems like a resistance issue? Never thought about rear fog, just returned from the garage and it's still working

Sure Bob will come up with something to rectify, cheers Paul

I had the same thing with my rear foglight. If i put a bulb in the redundant plug they worked straight away. Its to do with the fog lights needing the dipped headlight/ headlight to be on so they can switch on. They must be picking up that signal from the redundant plug. If you can trace which wire sends this signal back to the fog lights you can extend it over to the passenger side plug and connect it over there. Thats what me and my mate did with mine. At the moment yours is not getting a signal to say the headlights are on so won't allow the fogs to switch on.

Some installation pics done on a RB5 www.superhids.co.uk | Facebook

Become a fan for the latest update, pics and discount codes. Also, feel free to share your own pics and comments.

Notice how much easier these SuperHID kits are to fit than normal kits. As the SuperHID ballasts are so small it allows for much easier installation.

No need to remove any headlamps, battery, airbox etc. (just the grill if you want to hide the wiring behind). No drilling.

Bob,

Any guides for dual beam installation in a Blob eye STI, or can you scan the instructions on here so I can see what's involved?

Cheers

Anders

Hi Bob,

Thanks for the hand delivery to MK last week, excellent service.

Not had a chance to fit the HID kit yet (hopefully this weekend!) However I was wondering if you had any advice/recommendations (Pictures?) for installing the kit in a Blobeye?

Thanks.

Has anyone managed to get the driving lights working on a standard P1?

The HID kits work fine on the P1s (as are yours), it's just the driving light configuration that needs to be tweaked.

Apologies, yes to confirm the hid's work no issues, just driving lamps to sort, edited above to reflect and replied to email

Help!

I'm currently in the process of fitting a "Blobeye Dipped Beam = H1 kit", and would be grateful if someone could confirm if you have to drill a hole in the plastic headlight cap / cover?

Thanks.

Yes, you do have to.... and if you were thinking of getting replacements from the stealers as a backup, they are for some reason about 37 pound each!

Many thanks for the confirmation.

WoW £37 each! Anyone know of an alternate source for replacement / backup headlight caps / covers?
