Halal Meat - Subway
If someone has taken on a Subway franchise and running it as a business that is serving the (wider and sub) community(s), then surely the owners have integrated into society and are providing a service to all. Are these franchise owners costing society or supporting it by paying taxes, wages, property rental etc?
Why is it **** ? halal meat ideaology is based on animal welfare ie no battery farming, no stress caused to the animal before death, the animal not being allowed to see other animals dieing or smell their blood.
Halal’ meat in its original and intended sense therefore means the meat of an animal that has been ethically treated, properly fed and raised and in the end mercifully slaughtered. Its aim is to secure the rights of the animal to a good life as well as ensure that the meat they offer up is pure.

If you can't prove it, you can't sell it... (Mars a day, helps you work rest and play springs to mind
)We wouldn't want double standards in this fair country now, would we?? Would we?
FFS surely the Halal meat is just in addition to the usual, ham, chicken, meatballs, etc.
So they are stocking more meat, that you won't/don't want to eat, so what?
I don't boycott a sandwich shop because they start selling tuna! What do I care if they sell something I never want??
So what if supermarkets sell Halal food, I'm never going to buy it, but it doesn't bother me that they sell it! My supermarket sells other "ethnic" food such as Italian, Spanish, Chinese, Indian, Thai, etc... yet there is a small fridge or freezer with Halal and we have kickoff!!
My supermarket sells dog and cat food that I'm never going to buy, but I won't boycott them for that!!

the retailer uses the cheapest produced food that money can buy.
The chicken they use is produced in the Netherlands and comes in slabs, it is made in giant rotating vats by a process called emulsification.
the cheese is not cheese but cheese substitute, similar but not cheese.
Therefore although this retailers food may taste and seem healthy. it may also be sh!te. if you look into it you may find other cheap and nasties too.
Whether Halal or not, its cheap for the general public to eat there for only one reason.
please feel free to ask yourself why.

Yup. Pure nasty sheeite.
And all heavily salted so you can't actually taste how bland it is.

What do you think is more humane? Being stunned and bolted, or having their throat cut and left to bleed to death?
Do we live in the UK or an islamic state? This country needs to take a moment to look at whats it turning into.... dual assemblies in schools because muslims refuse the Christian hymns, halal meat everywhere and turn a blind eye to the animal suffering, ban entry to EU citizens incase they upset the islamic lot etc etc
Fast forward 10-15 years - what's it going to be like then?....

I don't get it. Everyone is moaning about Subway selling halal meat ALONGSIDE the regular stuff, but no comment about a Dominos banning pork products entirely and ONLY using halal meat.
Maybe they meant well when they devised this technique, but we're not living in the middle ages anymore are we? Animals should be slaughtered using the most humane ways available, which are proven to minimise suffering.

So no pepperoni or ham?
I'd rather eat my dog's food than any of the mentioned sh1te.........
Is it humane, in your opinion?
Agreed as otherwise he'd be campaigning just as hard against the Jews and their kosher meat.
Is it right NO
Is it cruel YES
Do I agree with it NO
Was that the point of my post NO
I do not really see how it is cruel ? The animal is stunned then its throat cut ? Compared to the USA and European way of farming its positively kind. HAve you seen a pig crate but I don't see you boycotting danish Bacon.
That was the intention of my point; to show how there is little relevance between what people eat and how the integrate in to society or break laws (saying that there are actually studies being conducted now examining the diets of crims but the results have not been published yet).
If someone has taken on a Subway franchise and running it as a business that is serving the (wider and sub) community(s), then surely the owners have integrated into society and are providing a service to all. Are these franchise owners costing society or supporting it by paying taxes, wages, property rental etc?

. Do you plan to answer my questions or 'expand' at all?
Why would I want to do that?
This is SN afterall and no keyboard warrior has to justify anything
I don't know the in's and out's of the murder in Northants, just simply a muslim was murdered by a group of Polish chaps. I've not pushed my colleague on why it happened, as she was upset. But I'm still not sure that's relevant to who kills the meat you put on your sandwhich...
It's really bad if you look at the bigger picture. I cannot stand the way the veggies send farmers out to dig out harmless veg, which haven't hurt anyone, and then they eat them!
On countless occassions I've got a packet of carotts from Tesco and found that at least one carrot has a slice down it!
Don't the vegitarians care that this carrot may have been hurt by receiving a cut through it's body?
It's not on...

Subway is a franchise business owned by individual(s), it is not owned by the government, the state or the great British public. Therefore said owner(s) of Subway can sell what ever the FU** they want. Subway is not a British institution and Britain is not somehow less 'British' because some Subways sell halal meat. Get over it and get a life ! The only reason it exists is to make money and if they are now making more money then job done
Feel free to buy your own Subway and you can NOT sell halal meat till the cows come home.

britain has put on a polite smile whilst being raped of it's identity for years, specalist food suppliers pandering to traditionally non-british beliefs and religions have existed for a long time, the problems start when high street retailers start preferring these non - british beliefs, like taking pork products off the menu and introducing halal, (would the same indifference occur if halal was taken off the menu at an established halal retailer to supply pork, would it ****, there would be uproar) , this country is a simmering pot coming to the boil and to ignore it is foolish. imo anyone is welcome to britain, but be warned that the country is british and you may want to adapt to it's culture, or not come here, no-one is forcing you.
Halal meat isnt EVERYWHERE as you put it, infact, Im actually yet to see it, I might be able to find it if I went looking for it but I dont so it doesnt bother me. Some people are just being plain arrogant now.

I love to know what your view of what 'British' is or means.
The only reason for this 'simmering pot' is people like you who desparately cling to the past and refuse to embrace the future.
Most of the people you refer to are not 'coming here', they LIVE here, THEY'RE BRITISH same as you and me.
You're technically correct of course, Martin, but trust me when i say that there is a huge swathe of Britain who does not embrace your views. A huge swathe. But it cannot be admitted; you "have" to be tolerant of a multi-racial Britain now, it's the unspoken law. An economic recession will bring those tensions to the fore. I applaud you if you're able to take the radical changes to our population in your stride, but don't expect everybody else to be able to do that so easily, if at all. Nobody asked us whether we wanted this, always remember that.
