Keane's inflexibility meant he failed to adapt to a different role on the pitch for a big club where the team didn't revolve around him, he had plenty of time. Add in the fact that he wasn't wanted or bought by the manger and it's only going to end one way.

Glad we got rid now for a decent sum rather than offload him for sub £8M in the summer. He'll do well back at Spurs where he's comfortable and they'll play with him foremost.

He was NEVER given a fair crack of the whip.

**** bit of business by Liverpool, looks like they will loose 8 million on him (which they haven't got)

It is unheard of to ditch a player after just 6 months, especially one who had a hefty price on his shoulders, but he had plenty of chances to shine. He failed to adapt his play and looked lazy.

£8M loss Media figures. We never paid £20M for him, it was £18 plus add-ons which they'll never get. It's apparently £16M he went for. Still a bad bit of business but not as much as mancs the papers would have you believe.

also Keane and your chairman both saying they didnt want to leave/sell. one of the ***** is lying if a chairman dont want to sell and a player dont want to leave then a player doesnt leave.

eating humble pie.

Anyway Liverpools **** up really.

My bad i thought Robbie was saying he never wanted to leave.

taken from the filth website

We never wanted Robbie to leave in the summer, we acknowledged the six years dedicated service he gave this Club and reluctantly let him go. I am delighted that he has chosen to return to us. We can all recall the passion and fight he displayed during his previous seasons with us. I know he is determined to give us his full commitment," said Daniel Levy, Chairman.

Robbie has this to say on his return, "It was a difficult decision to make to leave Tottenham in the summer.

The whole situation was bizarre.
I know a lot of you don't agree with what i say.
Robbie is a better player than Ngog, Kuyt and Babel but different yes.
Liverpool Statistically play better with Kuyt in the side, he offers no goal threat he cannot cross he is a poor allround player. The only positive is his work rate and harassment of opponents.
Ngog was bought to be a target man but he cannot hold the ball up and his touch is terrible. plus his passing isn't up to much.
Babel, he does show signs he is a good player and yes its difficult only getting on sporadically. his input is minimal though.
Rafa has gambled the rest of the season on Torres and Gerrard remaining fit.
I can't see it working.

Whatever price Spurs brought him back for does'nt matter, he scored 7 goals in 20-ish matches which is'nt a bad return seeing as he was sub'd or on the bench more often than not.
The way RK has been treated by RB is shocking, especially as RB lost his marbles(again ) after Harri said "he wished RK was still at Spurs".

Perhaps other players will be wary of joining LFC while the yanks and RB are at the helm !

reality is we've lost about 2.5m on the deal (20.3m minus add ons which will NOT be payed =£18m, sold for £12.3 plus adds ons will be about 15.5,m) plus his wages for 6 months.

cant understand those who say he was treated badly. he got payed well, did not perform when Torres was out for two months, went missing in a lot of the games and when presented with chances (eg. Preston where he could have had a hat trick) missed them all.

one of these players who's good enough for a smaller club, but not at a bigger club.

I've been working abroad for the pat 2 weeks so missed out on all this. come back and it's hilarious reading the scouse fans! . They all now say Keane wasn't good enough after backing him. The United fans etc said he was a poor buy again but the simple fact is that to sell him and not replace him has only weakened Liverpools squad. Nobody can deny that. Lose Torres and they have nothing up front.

It's fukking brilliant!

Ps hand United the title now it's done and dusted.

PPS quote me on that

Small minded and pea brained.
Lucas V Keane i know which one i'd of played more.
Riise V Dossena and Aurelio.
Finnan V Arbeloa.
Crouch V Ngog.
Pea brained is too generous i would say more peppercorn.

small minded? think some on here fit that quite well.

wenger not won a trophy in 5+ years, where's the media attention?

scolari done a terrible job this year, where was the media spin on their inept performances.

keane simply was not good enough, he was signed, given more than a chance but failed miserably. we got a good deal and moved him on.

Keane should never have joined in the first place, however if you have him why not use him.
IMV he didn't get a fair crack of the whip and he's a player who A, needed time to establish himself. B, to be played in a succession of games, which everyone knows isn't RB's style and never will be to the detriment of LFC's achievements.
Rafa is deluded his comments after the portsmouth game were laughable Ngog and Yossi done well. they were played as an attack and they were SH*TE! Ngog hung around the edge of the box like he was waiting for a 14C to Crocky! Yossi was industrious and half decent but he never scored.
They could of played for a week and not scored.
LFC need to play the strongest fit eleven instead of the sh1te. Additionally i thought Mascherano gave the ball away all game his cross for the Torres goal was the only positive i seen.
Its what i see game in game out.
There are two types of LFC fan the critical type and the supportive type, i am the former. Interestingly on the LFCTV website critical fans are becoming more common than the supportive of late.

and in doing so left yourselves short of striking options. With all the games coming up soon I wonder how Torres will cope considering how easily he gets 'tired'
