No claim to fame, but i might have been one of the first on here ever to eat a Pot Noodle. Google says they started hitting the shelves in 1971, not sure if that was the UK or not but we used to have them as a weekend "snack" lunches in the mid 70s, definitely by 1976 anyway - i can remember when some of these flavours were "brand new"!! Haven't had one for at least 20 years that i can remember, i wonder how they compare today...

Only if you put too much water in and dont do the 30 seconds in the microwave trick !

In fact I caused agro as a kid with one, microwaved it for too long and the heat caused the roof of the microwave to sag alarmingly.

I can remember when they first came out We used to love them as kids, my favourite was chicken and mushroom. I used to butter some Mother's Pride white bread and dip it into the sauce until the butter oozed and the bread soaked up the juice, mmmmm, lovely

Its a bit of both, but mostly your tastebuds.
I have found that if i go back to "food" like super noodles, pot noodles, canned hot dogs, canned soup, Space raider (type) crisps...........etc i want to throw up afterwards. Its almost like you can feel the **** thats in them taking over your body!! I almost always end up saying "how the hell did i ever eat that?".

Agree they have gone a bit taste-less since they reduced the salt content, but still admit to enjoying the odd Chicken & Mushroom or Bombay Badboy once in a while!

I think because we have lost our shift pay and we are on a 4 day production week, the carryouts in my departments rest room has hit an all time low.

POTNOODLES seem to be the operators choice at he moment, one guy pours the contents of his pot on a thick piece of bread then sandwiches it with another and woofs it down.

Another guy adds a packet of crisps to the pot after adding the water, smells really nice.

We have an irratating guy who upon entering the rest room will say..EVERYTIME...without fail. "There not good for you", in a stupid advert style voice.
