I don't think i'll make the 17th, my Lotus 340R (hope i'd still be allowed to come)is run in and serviced now. I was looking forward (weather permitting) to giving it a good run.

Two reccy trips completed and the route is all but sorted. Now intending to head East (not North as originally planned) for approx. 30 miles, stop for re-group/lunch, then a run along a scenic route ending not far from our original start point.
Does this sound OK?

Don't post any route details here on the web, this is a public area and you don't want the local constabulary knowing your plans.

Visions of Plod with a speed gun on a published route spring to mind.

Best to Email each other details to discuss routes, I was given this advice and it paid off.

Not much added to the thread lately.Presume were still on for a run on Sunday.

Had a quick look through & there seems to be about 8 for sure's & a couple of possible's.
Let's hope the numbers increase through the week.

Done big end No 2 cyl. Need a new crank. Car has only done 14k mls from new. Will try & come down in stand by car. Black Tipo Tdi on a J. Bit miffed.

I know just how you feel, my power steering pump is on the way out.

I'm topping up the fluid every 3 days just to be on the safe side but when it's leaking it's dropping onto the Cat Shield and causing smoke from the engine bay. Quite worrying when stationary and you see the smoke rise from the front.

I'm sadly considering getting shot of the car...

Octane Man/harvey - sorry to hear about your car troubles (hope you still come along on Sunday, harvey).
The route is all sorted. I'll have notes for all the people that have posted, plus a few spare copies in case anyone decides to come along at the last minute. I'll double check for numbers on here after the Grand Prix has finished on Sunday morning.
So, Sunday 17th, 10.00hrs - far corner of Scotch Corner Services car park. Leaving 10.45 - 11.00hrs.
Looking forward to a good turn out and having a laugh.

Will come for the kick-off but not the run. Not much fun in a diesel even when over fueled/over boosted.

Cheers for the offer but I may have rectified the leaking with the help of Skippy, the O ring between the Power Steering reservoir and the Pump wasn't the best. I took it apart last night and got some Silicone Sealant and cleaned it al up and then resealed it. Just taking it easy for now until I'm 100% sure it's not leaking.
