Granted, I know that to be true .... I was making a statement which applies to how I see things.

We all see the world from a different angle and it moulds our thoughts and opinions.

When I was really struggling to make ends meet, not too long ago (but a lifetime to most on here), I used to drive to some houses they were building (I was renting at the time from the MOD) ..... I said to my friend, "One day I'm going to have one of these"

That dream was achieved 25 years ago, indeed, I have moved on to bigger and better ..... I have been really poor, and now, through hard work and careful planning I am comfortable. I could give a deposit to my offspring to buy a house ....... whether I choose to, or not, is up for debate.

My point being that - from my angle on the world - people are very affluent nowadays .... and, I truly believe that those who claim to be poor now are hugely better off than I was when I started out.

Quite possibly, but ideas about what poor is, have probably changed alot over the years.

I wouldn't use the word poor lightly, as I think many people nowadays may not be as well off as you may like to think, but that doesn't necessarily make them poor.

All I am saying though, is you see what you do around you, but just don't assume that lifestyle applies to everyone out there. There are plenty of people out there struggling to get by.

Just to add, I'll happily lend a wedge off you, if it's going spare.

I am but a small cog in my Company, you are clearly a big cog ...... don't let that confuse you into thinking I am not a Professional.

My neighbours are all professionals, it's just how it is .... my family are all professionals, that's also just how it is .... my social life is spent mixing with professionals, again, just how it is.

So, I am neither a big fat liar, or a sad old snob .... I am staggered that a 'true Professional' like yourself cannot understand.

Did you have anything of consequence to say regarding the Thread - House Prices?

Sorry, but that's the biggest load of twaddle I've ever heard. Btw, I am not a KINGPIN by any stretch of the imagination. You just sound more and more like a wanabee, like a Mrs Bucket.

Are you seriously trying to tell me you don't know ANYBODY or have NEVER had a conversation with anybody who is not a professional?? I wonder if you use the term very loosely or you hallucinate your life to make yourself feel better?

Are you trying to say NOBODY on your road is a non professional? I doubt it. I doubt if you even know everybody on your road to make that call.

The richest and most highly educated/influential people I know (they are obviiously not always the same) still have friends, associates, family or just people they talk to who are from non professional backgrounds.

By saying that you don't know ANYBODY who at 50/60 can't bung their kids £27k without breaking a sweat means is just plain ridiculous and insulting to many.

How would you like it if the Eaton boys you berate so much said something similar. You would attack them for being out of touch, at least they really have a background that might warrant that, I doubt you have.

Btw, these 'greatest minds in the country' you hang out with, do you tell them you spend half your life under multiple usernames posting on a japanese car related forum??

You're right - you are not a KingPin, your posts show that to be the case.

By the way - it's Bouquet .... NOT Bucket!!

You are clearly deranged .... I'd like you to show where I said I have never had a conversation with anyone who isn't a professional - I'm here talking to you, aren't I?

How do you know my road doesn't contain just 3 houses - and I know everyone? You are making assumptions and 'true professionals' don't do that

Jolly good for them .....

Cannot see how that can be insulting to ANYONE, the fact that I don't know of any 50/60 year olds who do not have substantial savings .... how would the financial state of the elderly people I know insult anyone???

I suspect that YOU feel inadequate and are putting those feelings upon others who may have just read what I posted and understood it correctly - I'm close, aren't I?

I would have congratulated them on their honesty - I certainly don't feel 'insulted' that they have mansions, duckponds, new cars, money, luxury lifestyles ...... but, I guess you do?

Yes, they know where I post ... they pop in and have a laugh sometimes, but are not drawn as I am.

Would you like to list these Multiple Active Usernames?

If you don't I will assume, as everyone else will, that you are talking rubbish ...... which is where you came in ......

Have you any opinion upon the Housing market or simply a desire to insult me further?

I think the gist of your original comments were clear to everyone, not just me, hence I've not been the only one to comment on the stupidity of them.

As for me feeling inadequate as a result of them? Well, I feel no need to come on a car forum and tell people whether I have a mortgage or not, or whether I have substantial savings or not, as you seem to love to do.

I may have £500k sat in the bank, or an overdraught. Who knows, and I doubt anyone here cares.

I find it incredulous that these 'brightest brains in the country' friends of yours come on here and have a good laugh. At what? You spurting on and on about the same thing and telling everybody how well you've done? These guys find this amusing? I reckon they maybe laughing at YOU.

I find it saddening that somebody who says they have done so well in life can think of nothing better to do than come on here and go on about it.
Haven't you got a wife and kids to go and enjoy your money quietly with?

You're right of course, no-one cares ... apart from you, it would seem.

Now, I let the error spelling of Eton go without comment ... but a real professional would spell Overdraft properly!

Would NOT waving my **** about have saved those kids in Africa?

True, you can't take it with you - but, you CAN use it to better the lives of your offspring.

Default All good Fun :)

It depends if your **** is like a real **** or smaller?

Or if its a big **** or just smells big? Im not sure of the nuritional content of **** vapour, maybe not as much as bell-end brie?

On a serious note; you are correct about bettering the lives of your offspring

I hope I have not made any typo errors,I did take my GCSE's english and maths a year early back in 1989 but I have forgotten more than I knew?.... I once had a spelling competition on the Supra forum when I had my MK4 RZ-S,it resulted in me getting banned for life! (twice!,I mailed moderators and they re-instated me for 10 mins then banned me again!)...still puzzles me today, didnt think my Eminem homophobic taunts would upet?..,Sorry MattH,hope you are more at ease with your sexuality

It can suffer one page of drivel ....... being so long and all.

I has value if we can pull it back to House Prices ....

House prices in England and Wales rose by 1.7% in July from June, the biggest monthly leap in value in five years, the Land Registry says. Prices are 11.7% lower than July 2008. The average home is valued at £155,885. The Nationwide building society, meanwhile, reports prices rose by 1.6% in August. By its measure, prices fell 2.7% year-on-year, against a 6.2% fall the previous month.

Sean (Midlife), I earn about £300k less than certain rubbish newspapers talk about, so don't feel too bad. The compensations are leisure time and a small list size with the ability to give a service which my patients report that they are delighted with.

When the same rubbish newspapers are going on about house prices again, I take it as a contrarian tip.

FWIW My Trust would set aside a TAGI of circa £135k for your services in your geographical location.....

Still £65k less than my salary LOL

Oh dear, it seems you know as much about grammar as you do politics.

The only time an apostrophe can be used in it's is when it's is used as an abbreviation of 'it is' otherwise it is always its.

So try again please

No worries

Actually I think Kimi is in with a good chance today. KERS, a good fuel load and most of the usual suspects behind him coupled with a circuit he is usually very good at.

Word has it that house prices will have risen by 5-6% by the end of the year .

Who would have thought that would happen at the beginning of the year .!???

Oh yes, .........Me .!!!!!!!!

I dont think for one minute all the doom is over but ,things have stabilized ,and much of the worry was caused by "Doommongers "biggin up the problems, which scared people silly .

I am not saying we will get back to the free for all spending of the past ,(which was a disgrace looking back at it ) ,but things will plod on for a few years and then ,"who knows what will happen ??"

Good Luck in whatever you do folks .
Its never all that bad is it ???

Completely agree with you. I think the race win is between Kimi and Rubens.
Although a drop of rain will throw the race wide open. C'mon Jenson!
