Cool the GNR is part of the main mission so if you can leave it then all the better imo.

My advice is to look at your map,kit yourself up withe your best stuff and just go out into the wild because you will obviously find more places but plenty of equipment and stuff to keep or sell.

Have you got the house in Megaton yet?

Going to the memorial isn't the end of the game as you go back to a couple of times including the end but not going to tell you any more about that

What I was gonna say earlier I'm absolutely skint and need my alien gun repairing, lol. Plus need to re-locate the crash site and get more ammo for it. Need to start hoarding some more scrap me thinks and get equipped as you say

 

You get the house in Megaton, if you disarm the bomb.

 

Disarm the bomb in Megaton and if you have good karma you will get a gift nearly everytime you are in Megaton.
Then when you've got it you can fill up the cabinets with everything you get in 1 place (plus you get a place where to put your Bobleheads).

 

Ah I haven't disarmed the bomb yet. i think my skill ability isn't high enough yet, and I haven't met that guy in the water processing thing for the stuff to make it easier for me Might try and do that at least to then get my own house

 

Keep the Scrap Metal as tthe Water plant in Megaton and Underworld require it and will swap it for credits (Megaton) or Stimpaks (Underworld)

 

Ah, the broken side of the ship at rivet city...can you actually gain entry to it? And remember someone saying something about a pinkerton guy or a ghost in there, not sure

 

You have 2 choices go along the shore line walk along a low walkway and you get to a door but you need a good lockpick skill which i doubt you have.
The other way is to swim inbetween the broken parts and find the underwater entrance but the ship is full of boobytraps so take your time and has a lot of Mirelurk hunters (the tougher mirelurks) but there is a bit of stuff to pick up.

 

Those Mirelocks are a PITA!

 

Combat or Terrible shotgun or Magnum or Blackhawk to the face pisses them off a lot more

 

I've been using the Sawn off shottie to give them a headache, but they still give me a hard time.

im just killing the goul haters at the mo

must say i finished this without doing most of the game so i went back one save and i am just wondering about now exploring, ive decided to do it with negative karma now though so im shooting people who annoy me also i now know who the android is and i have the code to make them remember but i gave zimmer the android part and i cant seem to get an option to tell the code to the android

 

Just started this again on the xbox, keeps crashing every 5 minutes though

No I will give it a go later, never had a problem with any of my other games though. I bought it fromm woolworths as well so I won't be able to take it back. Glad I only paid £16 for it

no idea, i figured i would give it a try, found out that i think they are crap
i kept my save game just in case i pick up a cheap copy further down the line

what you can do with yours, is

1. shove it up yer jacksie
2. borrow a copy from somebody else, install that one to HD then give it back, you can then use your gypo copy to allow you to play the game from hard disk

i had to do this with my old copy of gears 1 as i wore it out (and skimming the disk never fixed it)

 

Yeah I reckon that's the best plan of action. Probably some bitter twisted ex wollies employee scratched up all the games on their last day.

 

Has anyone downloaded broken steel yet? Was wondering what the consequences would be of lobbing the fev virus in the purifier I don't want it to end up killing my sidekick fawkes though

 

I played the Pitt dlc and it wouldnt let fawkes go with me so dunno if this is the same, as for ending the main game afaik without giving too much away you can't play dlc after you've made the choice of ending, atleast i couldnt figure out how to, i ended up using a previous save just before entering the last part of the end mission.

 

Broken steel gives you the option of sending fawkes in and playing past the end of the game, and also raises the level cap to 30.
