Thanks chaps. I would get the green areas painted black but there's a problem with the dvla. I said I wanted to change the colour, they asked me what to so I said carbon fiber. They argued that CF is a material not a colour so I can't call it that....then I said ok i'd call it black and they said it's not going to be black because it's CF....
As for if it's genuine, i'm not sure which grade of cf they use in F1 but you can check the first few pages of this thread to confirm.
I fitted the cf rear bulkhead and seat trim at the weekend...i'll post some pictures up tomorrow if I get a chance, got to wait for the parcel shelf still which is a pain in the **** but it's coming together nicely...

So here I am again. It's been a busy past few weeks but i've had the odd spare hour to keep going...
It turns out my fears that the carbon fiber parcelshelf is completely the wrong one was justified (it will be up for sale once I work out which year it's for) so the company i've bought my parts from are making a new mold and I should have the new shelf within the next couple of weeks.
However I couldn't wait any longer so I fitted the cf rear seat trim and bulk head. This took a good day but i'm quite happy with the results.
The main issues I had were with the edges of the seat panel...these were curved upwards but wouldn't reach to the car itself, so I had to trim these back but just enough to cut 'the curve' out. Obviously this then led to the cf not reaching the original trim, so after a few different idea's I settled with this:
I bought some interior carpet to test how I was going to cover any exposed metal (yes, it's a different colour) and so I cut out a couple of strips and glued them to the underside of the original trim...simples. Nice, tidy option I think you'll agree.
Next, I was getting fed up with the, "Why haven't you got STi rear lights on it yet?" questions, so after snapping up a set in my new favorite place (For Sale section ) I fitted them this weekend.
I opted out of the easy way (first time for everything) to get around the fog light so I drilled the extra hole, set about with the file to create my own locking notches and here you have them:
And now I stand corrected. I cannot believe how much these have transformed the rear of the car! I now understand what people were saying, that they will match the colour scheme of the car whilst also giving it a much squatter look. So, very impressed with them...
For now i'm putting a ban on myself spending any more money for a couple of months...I've still got the cage to fit, wheels to refurb, parcel shelf when it turns up and a set of defi's that I couldn't pass up...enough to keep me busy. Plus as show season is coming up fast. i'm looking forward to actually using it!

Rear lights look great!
The interior Carbon bits on top of the suspension that don't fit look the same as Frayz fitted in his Bugeye so they are probably from that.

Thanks Sir Fozz
Ok then it looks like some lucky ****** is going to get a genuine CF parcel shelf for their bugeye then!
Asiangunner, do you mean will the wheels stay white? I was toying with painting them black as I was going to go for a cf roof, but the more I look at it I think the white brings out the weave in the cf more...so I'm tempted to keep the roof and wheels white now...saying that, who knows

FYI this is now up for sale.
Since doing all I have to it i've spent the past 6 months in Thailand so now I can't justify keeping it locked in the garage under a dust sheet.

Yes it's up for more than I originally paid however this is because of all the time and effort I have put in since owning...however I am prepared to drop the price for SN members as the price on PH is to keep the tyre kickers away

Hi there
Good work on all that - I just checked in to this thread for the first time in ages only to notice that you asked me questions about the Alcon two piece rotor conversion ages ago and I missed it.
I can see that you're sorted now - and they look great- but sorry that I missed that before.
Cheers
