Very similar power output. The Evo's would have a higher top speed over the RA unless the Evo's were of the RS variety but the RA would be quicker from a standing start.

Thanks,

I guess I am just trying to researc as much as possible, but one thing I have noticed is that an Impreza STI (RA) should be cheaper to run than an Evo.

With the price of STIs being much less then it is almost a no brainer.

The only difficult thing will be finding a semi-standard STI, pref an RA, as do not really like the huge exhausts!

Another thing, with the DCCD, can you put all the power to the rear wheels only, as that would be good, as had lots of cossies (including an RS500!) and quite liked the rear drive antics when you were ready for it. Although I must say I did get caught out a few times!

DCCD in open diff its a 35-65 split. In this weather i cant get the power down when set in open diff because its to twitchy.

To be honest i know nothing about EVO's so dont know about running costs...To find out more about the RA log onto Type-RA.co.uk - Subaru Impreza WRX Type RA, Impreza WRX STi Type RA, Impreza Type RA V Limited, Scooby V. Ltd, visit the WRX forum & Subaru forum
