I've got no idea what you're talking about regarding biting and children. Something for yourself perhaps?
As for your keyboard warrior comments the only chap I've ever met from scoobynet felt the need to disappear from the site straight after I turned up at his office. Some 'cage fighter' he turned out to be.......

There are a few ex SN users that I really HOPE it could have been...

I can't remember which user name I was using at the time- likely Rabid but to cut the story short some guy claimed to be a cage fighter- he wasn't. Made all sorts of threats using phrases like 'keyboard warrior' then shat himself when I turned up at his office on a trip to the city.

Nacro trying to bring down people to his level.
His claims are out of the window then, i mean it's only ''chavs'' that use threatening and insulting behaviour on an internet forum
So much for the high and almighty claims then
As i said, dreamer

Right Mitchy and Narco.
It takes two to tango.
I've deleted posts that could be construed as a threat to the other.
Any repeats of such puerile behaviour WILL result in an infraction
The rest of you, don't jump on board: lets keep an informative topic friendly and relevant!

Indeed
Have the strength of character to believe in your own choices for goodness sake, let NACRO be NACRO and you'll be laughing with the rest of us in no time

And yes I had a good laugh at this thread. Some folk need to chill out a bit but then if no one took the bait it wouldn't be any fun either

I don't think I want to laugh with you all if you all find this kind of thing acceptable on a car enthusiasts forum.
I come on here for some banter and to extend my knowledge, and occasionally to share my opinions and experiences.
I draw the line at somebody PM'ing me insults about my apparent lack of intellect, but you think I should just accept this?
I have offered genuine advice on this thread (Bear in mind that it was a thread about buying a Tag Heuer online) whereas 99% of ANY of the posts NACRO makes on any subject are just pointless, useless or BOTH.

The price in shop reflects the price on website, there are no differences.
Your patter with quidco and CC wont make the blindest bit of difference. The sales manager will probably most likely laugh and show you the door. A bit like trying to match an inernet price of a car in the dealership showroom.
If you ask, many people are too embarrassed it is likely you can get 10% off a >£1000 item of jewellery. It depends on the shops sales targets at the time.
You are if you think you can walk into a shop give the above patter and get a £1600 watch for £1200
Its not a car boot sale

Perhaps he wouldn't get the watch for as low as £1200 but what has he got to lose?
Nothing!
If he's not happy with the price being offered in the store then he can just do what i suggested and he WILL save money.
There's a good chance the sales person won't know what Quidco is so it may well fall on deaf ears but you never know until you try, particularly IF sales are down at the moment.

I'm thinking of treating myself to a Tag Heur watch (its my 30th at the end of this month ).
High street places such as Goldsmiths have it for £1,595 (ish) but looking on line I could get it for around £1,300, eg CAF2110.BA0809 - TAG Heuer Watches From Swiss Watches Direct Specialising In TAG Heuer, Omega & Breitling Watches
For all of you out there with expensive watches, have any of you ever purchased from such places or do you stick with the high street stores?
Cheers

Watches - Rolex, Omega, Cartier, Breitling, Tag Heuer, Gucci: Call 0845 658 8884 (UK) > Watchfinder.co.uk Ltd
Have been told that Jewellers, Engagement Rings, Diamond Pendants, Gold Necklaces - Beaverbrooks the Jewellers are sometimes willing to deal in person.
Someone was mentioning size on watches. Hopefully this will give an idea.
If you do get it don't be freaked out that the "second hand" doesnt move. Thats part of the chronograph. Its the sub dial at 9pm that represents seconds.
As for brand attributes. I chose Tag because they have a direct link to Formula 1 through McLaren. I also thought this was one of my favourite designs they did at the time.
Only downside is I dont get to wear it so often (mucky job) and the charge runs out. If you are in a similar position maybe consider buying a watch winder to keep it charged as apparently constantly letting it run down then winding it up can cause stripped teeth internally!
HTH
(eta : mine is the Day Date version of the OP)

Aaaaargh.I posted on this thread yonks ago saying how I wouldn't buy online and now I have exactly the same question as the OP and after traipsing through the thread there was never really an answer given to the poor bloke!!
Has anyone bought off Swiss watches direct and got a true genuine watch with a discount?
(Nacro if you are still around it's a Longines Hydroconquest orange wife thing I want....though I would dearly love a Rolex Milgauss if only they put a date on them....interestingly allegedly available 2 days delivery from one company with a nominal £200 off or something.Thought there was a waiting list!!)
Apologies for thread resurrection( mind you,an amusing read still)
