I didn't receive any email either notifying me that they were on sale either despite being on the mailing list and attending the event.

I managed to purchase a photo last night by chance but haven't recieved any email confirming my purchase. Has anyone else?

That's exactly what I had to do but I'm abit concerned that I haven't got an emailing confirming my purchase. I've already paid for the item using paypal so I'm just keeping my fingers crossed now.

Point taken.it wasn't meant to be a grumble/complaint scoobychick.just a thought at the time.a bad one, which came out wrong .it was only meant to be a comment/query about the prints/numbers any nothing to do with the run or the ppl who orginised the event.
I do apologise as no harm was meant by it. Jason , i didn't complain about spending the money, just though others might of if they felt they missed out.

the "pre orders" that Grant listed are people in the industry that have helped us get the Gathering to where it is and also people that helped Colin during his career.

Dan, I think your comments are out of order. I cant believe you are griping about spending money going to the event - you did not have to do it, it was all for a good cause and a fantastic day.

All the guys that helped to arrange and support the event deserve recognition and at least a bug thank-you for allowing this to take place.

I for one don't begrudge a relatively small amount of prints going to all of those people. There are ONLY 14 people on that list, and 5 of those are getting prints that are not from the allocation.

Stop bitching and show some respect for the effort that was put into the event. These guys put their heart and soul into it and dont need you complaining and being so petty - if it wasn't for the organisers there would have been no event.

I think you owe a few people an apology

Personally wouldn't bow to the pressure chap. If there are meant to be 555 then there should be 555 and not 555+ another 5 with no numbers. These people all deserve a copy and i don't see why it can't be one of the numbered ones really.

Blackbush market had some of these "limited edition" prints for £25 at the weekend, not a exact copy but 90% the same! wonder who nicked the picture!

I doubt that 555 prints were purchased by genuine enthusiasts that attended.
there were just over 1000 cars in the mosaic so does that mean that 1 in 2 bought a print ?? I doubt it.

I expect someone will be profitearing [sp] from these in the near future on a well no auction site.

No offense Phil.

I am also an enthusiast and bought one. When you look at the number of users on here and sidc that said they bought them then i think 99% will have went to enthusiasts.

The image used for the overhead shot circulating on the various websites and forums worldwide is a 17mb one issued by Prodrive. The image used by us for the print is a very virgin 35mb and this is the first time it has been seen out in the big wide world in this level of resoloution.

Although they may look the same it is not until you blow it up to this scale that you notice the difference in the detail.

The picture was captured by Damian Harty and he spent considerable time stitching this image together for us to use

Any fakes that do appear should be easily identifiable by the image quality and also using the Prodrive logo without consent will bring the force of the Prodrive lawyers to bear down on them.

Each print is not only numbered but it also marked in a unique way on the reverse. If any dubiaty arises in the future then we can be contacted if authenticity needs verified

In all honosty and by looking at the order database there are very few people that have ordered more than one but saying this i will be keeping an eye on fleabay for those trying to earn a buck or two.

Thanks

Grant

Me neither and don't get me wrong i know it's not a 5 second job putting 555 posters into tubes and getting the sent off etc but for the price of the postage etc i thought it would've been here by now.

Not moaning just an update would be nice

Jonny
