ye i got quotes off two places for £120 to flock it but i found a DIY kit for £20 to cover 1sq meter so i bought that and extra glue and flock and after VAT and postage it came to £60 and i still have enought left over to do the dash all over again tho lol
btw the website i got the kit from was Classic car restoration, kit cars and motorcycle restoration tools and equipment - Frost Auto

it was then sanded down and filler applied
sanded down again then primered to show up any imperfections
filler primer to fill any small marks and then a final coat of grey primer ready for paint

I done the same mod last month, but not to same standard as yours.
I used expanding foam to fill the entire vent hole and shaped it,
then put a layer of body filler over it. Then cut the holes in it.

ive managed to got my hub nut off and my driveshaft off the gearbox but im strugling to get the driveshaft out of the hub, am i missing anything or is my driveshaft just stuck in my hub and i need to giv it hell to get it out?
that pod looks so good you know what your doing there 
one of my drive shafts got stuck in the hub to had to soak it with wd40 over night then give it **** cleaned it up after and put copper grease on the splines when i put it back good luck

I was browsing the web the other night and found that area 52 (scoobymania) do block linering, so im thinking of getting my 2.0 cdb lined to 2.5, anybody had or know of any problems with area 52 or are they an able company to carry out this sort of work?

Area 52 like most companies will have it done by an engineering shop, the only company that I know of who do their own machining are Penine Subaru Chy has a very good reputation for his work, but you will need to call and discuss your requirements with him. The likes of Zen and Lateral can have this done for you too.

hi all, its been a while since i last updated but im determind to get the gearbox out this weekend and just wondered are there any pitfalls or things to watch out for when doing this?

With reference to the block, firstly what did you paint it with it looks very very good.
One observation though, I think you'll need to get the paint off some surfaces that you should have masked off. These will be the block faces where the two block halves meet, the water pump block face and the oil pump block face. I'd want that to be bare block rather than a painted surface purely for the fact that it needs to seal properly it may be ok now but in the long run I think you may have an issue. It might be worth cleaning those surfaces up. Other than that mate you're doing a cracking job!!

, the paint is halford high temp enamal mix with thiners and i used a spray gun to paint it
no my dad doesnt do anything like this, the most he's done on a car is top up the washer bottle haha
