You will mate, once your happy ripping about in all directions, start by doing 180's and then 360's.
I was told by so many to get my flatland stuff nailed as much as poss before leaving the ground and when youre in the air it really helps as you can never be sure to land forwards. Sometimes the buggy can rotate unwantedly.
Having a blade seriously powered up when its behinfd you and youre facing the wrong direction is not good if you dont know what do do lol.
I happened to me a couple of times the other day and my groundwork just took over when i needed it to.
Hopefully you'll be out this weekend for some practice

The weekend is here
Mentioned earlier in the week i can only buggy on Sunday & at the mo the forecast is not looking to good
, Lovely strong winds but heavy rain
Still if it's showers I'll be out ripping it in the puddles & mud
The new ozone lines turned up today , The "Flat_out" Over engineered wind meter bracket is made & screwed to the flexi flag pole , Just ordered a new roller spreader bar , as the hook is wearing my strop line , picked up another 3 metres of 5mm Dyneema from the chandlers this afternoon
Roll on Sunday , Fingers x'ed on the weather

Just this min finished rebuilding the buggy.
Got it back from X-Works today and am absolutely dilighted with the job Syeve has done.
She is now fully worked with:
6mm front brackets as opposed to the OEM 2.5mm ones,
full rear axle brace with twin supports,
20mm rear axle bolts,
libre wheels
full front end brace with 4 pickups
fork brace
modified seat
I treated her to a new splash guard too as mine had a couple of holes in it.
Just my new bellypan design to be done and shes more or less there

Didnt stitch the seat in the end mate, i came up with a different idea that meant i didnt have to cut the seat. Ive made up an adjustable length of 5mm dyneema strop line that loops through the original holes and it passes under the seat rails. That way i can adjust the front of the seat where previously i never had adjustment.
Its neat and you cant even see it as it goes under the bellypan.
Just in from Essex today, low wind today so time to practice all of my flatland stuff with only a few jumps in between. Buggy feels so solid now and really is awesome. Im so chuffed with how its turned out. I know you guys will love it
I just hope tomorrow holds out long enough so we get to fly again

Excellent
We can sit together & watch Frayz just like we did in the early buggy days
Actually both EKP & BL have great potential for a few summer fly In's for us boys & you girls as well , I'm sure we Will see the marquee & BBQ set up at either venue , flying into the late evening sunset , while you girls get hammered on a few bottles of chilled wine !!
Oh roll on the summer

Yeah, amen to that mate. The clubhouse is really taking shape down at Essex especially. They have a wicked log burner to go inside too so its extra snuggly on those chilly days.
Lol at the buggy early days, that was my very first time in a buggy lol....
Now look what youve done!!

Just a few quick snaps of the new modified buggy. (Sorry for the quality, light was pants and i was in a rush lol)
Should be complete with my new designed bellypan scheme should be done within the next week or so

The fork brace 6mm. Looks wonky in this pic, its just the pic. I even went to check it after i saw this image lol.

6mm solid front brackets are bombproof!

You can make out the underside bracing at the front of the seat. This has 4 pickups and ties the siderails together for almost zero flex

Here you can see the rear rail goes right to the end of the axle for maximum support and the added locknuts on the 20mm axlebolts

New rear axle in all its glory

Huge thanks to Popeye the Welder for the components and Steve at X-Works Motorsport fabrications for the welding.

We took my g/f's dads kite out today. Him and our neighbour have just bought some kit, so thought today would be a good day to try it out.
Now my g/f is hooked and wants her own kite.
Shes only petite, about 5' 4", weighs about 8.5st. Would a 2mtr kite be ok?

2m would be fine for her mate.
A 2.5m Flexifoil blurr would be ideal. Rock solid stability, fast and agile that she wont outgrow.
You can use it too in bigger winds.
Great to learn on and will always provide a challenge

She used a Peter Lynn 3mtr today and it wasnt that windy but struggled a bit with it.
Gotta say, i only had a quick blast on the kite before the wind picked up and loved it. This may now become something to get into for the summer
