great to be out with you boys yesterday, always makes it a good day.
I personally had a s*** day with the kites/buggy.....but it's all part of learning. I have to learn not to be to hard on myself, i expect to pick things up straight away....
ho hum roll on next weekend

You gotta remember its all new and will take time to get right. Its frustrating when you see everyone else apparantly doing it so easy but we all had to learn just like you are now.
I recomend getting a couple of sets of new lines this week so you can rely on them next weekend and not have to worry.
I'll spend some time with you next weekend and you'll be up to speed in no time

Bill does have a website mate but its not particularly good. He's better off if you go and see him.
Maybe just give him a call. Explain what you want and he may even get them in the post to you.

Spally, seriously mate, its deffo worth having an hour with someone. (i would strongly recommend Bill, or anyone else from the club)
there is a lot more to buggying then flying the kite unfortunately, and i'm sure the others agree, there is a point where it just "clicks" into place.
as for safety, you really need to be in control of the kite at ALL times, especially when you are approaching the end of the field, you need to anticipate this and start getting the kite up high, in order to scrub the speed off. and then read the wind once more, knowing when to drop back down and either gently turn, or rip round like a catapult (you need to tell the kite what YOU want to do)
Believe me mate, i'm no expert, but i can get back to base and am 99% in control of the kite at all times....
learn the basics along with me and you'll be fine !!!

Id seriously lose the backrest for next weekend too dude. It pushes your weight forward causing the back end to become easily unhooked at thats whats causing your spin.
Get your seat nice and low and get comfortable in it. I know it sounds daft but get as comfy as you can in the buggy. Adjust it as many times as need be untill it feels a part of you. Also make sure you have a slight bend in your knees so you can not only get full lock easily but also use the footpegs to brace yourself in.
