You're right there. A friend of mine had a quarter panel on his civic painted matt black to see if he liked it before getting it all done. It was a nightmare to keep clean...anything but perfectly clean just looked total crap.

To the OP - I would really recommend against it.

Haven't seen a scoob in the flesh with this sort of finish...but after seeing the matt black Brabus C-class merc at the motorshow... I reckon it will look the dogs!!!

Or you could do what I did and roller the car matt black with a tin of homebase's finest house exterior matt black paint

Looks predictably crap, but it's a good laugh. It looks way more agressive and the thick paint even covered up all the parking dents and scratches with zero filling needed Another good point about the paint is that my wife now refuses to go in the car unless it's pitch black outside
The original paint job was terrible anyway, with rust spots etc all over the place. I prefer it in matt black

It was the daily run-around, obviously, not the scoob
