well what a drive home that was,i must say the car drives nothing like i thought it would.i was expecting it to be a right handfull but its so smooth and easy to drive its like it just rolled out of the showroom.to make a car with that much power and drive as it does is an achievement in its self.just want to say a very big thanks to scott for his cooperation over the last few days, top bloke.

good to meet you today mate, and i have to say although i was gutted to see the car go, i am pleased it has gone to a good home where it will be driven as its intended

cant agree more with you on how it drives, and to be fair, all the credit for that has to go to alan and the team at enginetuner for bringing it all together, especially martyn for the job on mapping....top blokes and if i ever venture back into subaru waters again in the future, it is the only place my car will be heading.....

enjoy the new toy mate, remember u can flick the switch and use the 2bar map as well, although wont be much will touch it with the 1.5 bar map

Very happy to see the car with another real enthusiast!
The project was certainly an interesting one, starting out with a bare block and finishing with a major rebuild. Amongst the highlights were working out which parts were missing when it arrived, and sourcing a whole stack of the little bits that someone had previously discarded, like the engine loom, sensors, brackets all over and a whole box of fittings and bolts. The details would fill several pages! There is half of the Cosworth parts catalogue in there as well.
Plus of course I had to learn a new language to figure out what Scott actually wanted. It turns out he wanted a new rear mirror, a bumper respray and a service, but got a 630 bhp make over instead. Oh well...

haha i know what you mean about the language differance,me being broad yorkshire i was struggling myself but we got there in the end.i have spent the morning swapping over a few of my bits from mine, wheels, splitter and so on and i'm just loving it more and more everytime i use it.this car is a real credit to alan jeffreys and whoever has worked on it.i took my brother for a little spin in it last night and he went all pail faced for some reason.just out of interest, what do you think the difference would be running a 20% meth map.?

I dare say Martyn would know better than I would, but I'd say 650bhp straight off. Go steady now!

if u are getting it mapped again, it would be worth getting the car down to let martyn do the business once again, or pay for him to have a hol up to yorkshire mate
