Is this the 92-96 Subaru OEM Lamco triple gauge set that sits in the DIN slot above the DIN slot for the radio? Is the right hand gauge definitely for inlet manifold air temp., then? I thought it was for measuring ambient atmospheric air temp., outside the car?

Well, it reads up to 50 degC, so I had assumed that it was for intake temp. The fact is that it could be used for either I guess

There is no sensor for this gauge, so any thermocouple could be purchased and used for whatever you wanted it to read.

I didn't know these were OEM either, thanks for that.

I thought TMIC charged air inlet temps were more in the region of c.50-70 degrees C , hence why I assumed the gauge was used for ambient air temp (despite the fact that it goes up to 50C).

Yeah, if it is those Lamco's then it was a cost option from Subaru - hence why not all 92-96 cars have them fitted.

Krikey, I would hope intake temps didn't get up that far. On an old pulsar of mine with a Motec ECU, the intake temp was around ~20 degC (it did have a whacking great big front mount though )

The previous owner of the car told me he'd replaced them in late 2007 but I have no receipt to back this up. All I can tell you is that it's done next to no mileage since last year and the coilpacks look in good condition and were fault-free when running ~1.2 bar. In fact, when a boost pipe came off and she briefly ran 1.6 bar, they were still fine.

The indicators went a while back bud. Don't know if I want to part with the bumper as I think I've got someone interested in the shell and they'll probably want it. I'll let you know if it becomes available.

I've removed the whole unit, which includes the indicator stalk as well. I'll sell the whole thing to you but I don't want to split it (I couldn't see how the last time I looked at it!). £25 plus a tad for postage. If you need a piccy, let me know.
